ADR Issue

Has anyone had an issue when trying to book a reservation they tell you "No availability, but there have been no reservations booked for that location on that day."

They said it's sometimes a Calendar issue with the 180 days thing not updating correctly....but I'm at 175 days to that date I'm trying to book.

Fairly frustrating...on a side note, any other seafood places you all would recommend (besides Fulton's and Flying fish)

Just call. Seriously, the new system isn't very impressive. And yes, very frustrating!


I did call them, that's where I got the explanation on why it says no availability....ugh. So then I tried to call the location itself, got a real person there on the phone, and they basically said they don't know anything either. The best answer the Disney dining person had was, "Just try back some other time". As an IT person, if the system has bugs....the CM's need to be reporting them so they can be worked through...I still think the Next Gen stuff has potential, but they're rolling out with a LOT of issues they need to remedy.

The new system reminds me of the check in kiosks at Airports, "Select guests coming to dinner"....we don't even have the entire party settled yet (may still be adding a few people that are friends of one of the families coming) ugh. Just let me make ADR for number.

No one there can help with an ADR? What happened to great customer service. Now I understand the new level of frustration that has been unleashed on you.
I wish I could give you a recommendation for another sea food type place, but it's not my thing. Somewhere, someone should be able to help with that one...

Yep I called 1-800-WDW-Dine or whatever that is, the person said, "Cap'n Jacks has no availability, but there have been no reservations booked for that location on that day." And when I asked how that made any sense they just told me "sometimes it's a calendar issue".

Or it may be blocked out for some reason the CMs don't know. Capt'n Jacks may be closed due to the Disney Springs makeover.

I know CRT had dates blocked out where no one could make ADRS the CMs at Disney Dining didn't know why. Turns out it was getting a small renovation and menu update those days but they didn't tell the public and Disney Dining CMs until months later.

That actually would make more sense. One would think you would give your employees enough knowledge to say, "Cap'n Jack's will be undergoing a brief renovation to provide a better experience in the future for our guests"...but nothing surprises me anymore.

We are staying at POFQ, thought Cap'n Jacks would be a good choice on day of arrival as it is easy to get to...and some members of the group like to go there to get seafood.

Try the Boat Wrights in PORS It's supposed to be good.

First time posting. I have also had problems making an ADR for CRT. I had been watching site to see if anyone else had problems. I have tried calling and online. I was told that they were aware of the problem and working on it.

awww...that's a shame. My family used to take the boat from POR, enjoy a good meal at Cap'n Jacks and spend the evening in DTD. I loved their Shrimp Penne pasta in Lobster sauce...mmmmm

It could be blocked or not loaded into the system. We've had to compete with Candlelight Processional a couple of times - so those dates were primarily blocked. I also had an issue last year where it took over a week for Garden Grill to be loaded into the system- for some unknown reason. In both cases, all calling does is confirm that there is nothing opened up yet for those spots.
