I'm using the box selection tool to outline a rectangular/square picture and instead of letting me choose the size of the box, it's giving me a little box. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

It sounds like the "Style" attribute is set to Fixed Size. In Photoshp 6.0 or better just look at the pallet right below the menu with the selection tool selected. If you don't see it try double clicking the selection tool. This should bring the options pallet up.

Hope this helps.

Air Brush Tool

I have PS 5.5
and when I use the Air Brush tool I have to hold the mouse down the whole time Im painting/Otherwise if I stop and start again
It comes out darker then the 1st time...
Is there a way to fix it?

That is the way the tool is desing to work. The idea is for it to mimic an actual airbrush. So waht is happening when you stop for a second and start again is that the program is mimicing morew paint being put on top of the paint that is already there.

The same thing will happen with the brush tool but to a lesser extent.

You should check out the Adobe Studio. They offer lots of free stuff to help get you going and it is free. All you have to do is register your software and sign up - no strings attached.

And always feel free to ask any question you have here. There are enough experienced PS users on this board that I doubt we could be stumped by anything. :D
