I started working with Illustrator about a month ago in my graphic design class and am becoming very familiar and comfortable with the program. In the time Ive been using illustrator Ive been saving my files in.ai format so that I could work on both the macs at school and my pc at home. Now I want to save some images as .jpg files so that I can upload them to my web site. I'm completely clueless on this though. All I get as options for format are .ai . adobepdf .SVG .SVGZ and .EPS I'd appreciate anyones help.

Just taking a big, big guess on this...isn't one of the advantages of working with Illustrator is being able to load the graphic into Photoshop (if you have access to it), then saving it into a different format?

you can open it in photoshop, or choose "save for web" when you save it..
