Adding on with another DVC'ers points

OK, here is the situation, I have a 1 bedroom reserved for my family of four. We invited my brother to come along and now need a 2 bedroom. A friend of the family who is a DVC member is willing to rent out his points to my brother to make up the difference in the reservation.

My Question is: How do we get the points from our friend for the res.? I thought I read somewhere that we need to make the reservation via a three way call. Is this correct? Is our friend able to transfer the balance of points needed to add to the reservation and have my brother's family names put on the reservation? Of coarse he would then pay the friend a negotiated payment for the points used.

Yes! I actually just did this for our August trip. Just make the 3-way call to DVC and have them transfer those points into your account. It was quite easy. Then you switch your reservation to the 2 BR and add your BIL to the reservation.
