Here's the thing I love bright colors but I don't know if it will make me look nutty during an outdoor workout or if I should go with black/grey to kinda "blend in".
Which to do you gravitate towards when working out outside of the home?
Also do you think bright colored leggings make you look heavier?

Suggest you wear whatever colors make you happy. :) (Also, longer tops or jackets over leggings are common among many of the women I see exercising outdoors, so regardless of design and/or colors, that style works for people in various size ranges.)

I have a mix of both. At first I felt self conscious about the brighter choices making me more noticeable but I don’t think it really did. I tend to do either a bright top or bright pants and then a gray or black for the opposite.

Bright patterns are fun for pants/shorts. I find the patterns camouflage a bit of fluff too.

I buy neutral color leggings, but I wear mine for other activities (ie just hanging around) and find that it's easier to pair leggings that aren't bright colored.

Here's the thing: when you're at the gym, most people don't actually care what you're doing. They mostly care about their own workout. I'm far more likely to judge you for doing something stupid then for your outfit, but usually I'm too focused on what I'm doing to care about others. Same goes for outdoor workouts; no one actually cares. Wear what you want. 😉

I wear whatever I think is fun and functional. I do have (and wear) a lot of brightly colored/patterned workout stuff. I walk outside whenever the weather allows and I can't tell you what other walkers are wearing. I'm usually enjoying the scenery or listening to good music. If you see something you like, buy it.

I have bought compression leggings at Old Navy. I bought them 3-4 years ago and you can't tell by looking at them. If you have the app, you get notified when a sale is going on. ON seems like it has activewear sales every 2 weeks.
