Bought and used the at WDW last month. Do I need to do something to activate or use them at DL when we're there next month?

I believe you need to visit guest services located outside the park near Downtown Disney. We bought our Premier passes there last year, I don't know if we needed to but we did. Then when we visited WDW we had to stop at guest services of the first park we visited to get them activated for WDW.

Yes, you need to activate it. You'll also need to find a PhotoPass photographer after you enter the park the first time and have your picture taken. Once that's done, the next time you enter a park they'll inform you that your picture is now associated with your ticket and that it looks great!

Thank you both! One more question -- we're going to arrive at the Disneyland Hotel on the afternoon of July 3rd, but aren't planning on going to the parks until July 4th (I know it's going to be crazy busy), does anyone know how late guest services stays open in Downtown Disney for us to activate the passes?

Where do we go at DLR to upgrade Ap to Premier and is it worth it?

You can go up to any of the ticket booths and upgrade them there.

I think the worth depends on how many days you'll be spending there. At the same time, a Disneyland AP comes with more perks than a WDW one. With a Premier pass, you'll receive 20% off merchandise, 15% off food, invites to special events, etc.

We will be staying 6 park days and we have WDW AP's

I'm not sure if you can buy the Premiere at any ticket booth. I don't remember if we tried to go to the ticket booths first, but I know we ended up buying them at the Guest Services booth to the left of the Disneyland entrance.

I would check the price of a five-day and a one-day at DLR and what the difference is between your DVC Premium AP v. a Premier Passport.

The Premier Passport will cost you the full difference, any discount you got with DVC doesn't count. At $979 the Premier is expensive. A 5-day one-park ticket at DLR is $265 and a 1-day ticket is $92. If your DVC Premium was $622 or more, it'll be worth getting a Premier. I have no idea what they did charge for it.

I thought that for some reason that to upgrade to premier they only pro-rated for the amount of days left on my premium pass? Which isn't many.

Not sure.

What my post suggests still stands. You need to determine if the cost of what you end up with in the Premier Passport is more than what you would normally do plus the $357 that 6 days' of DLR admissions would cost, then it's probably not worth getting a Premier. Unless you're like me and once you have the Premier you start getting tempted to use it more...
