Acrylic Nails?

Ok, don't think I'm a dork, but I was just wondering if this is a no no for the WDWCP? I've seen CM's with them. And it doesn't say you can't have them in the Disney Look book. It just tells you colors and the length of the nails. Any help? I was thinking if it's allowed to go get them down when I get there. Because my nails now are pretty darn not pretty. lol. Any help would be nice! THANKS :-D

Girlie talk!! Yeay!!
I am a proud owner of ten nails grown long with the help of acrylic and now long and just topped with gel to make them harder and look better! :D (a dangerous weapon! -lol)

I don´t recall the disney look saying anything about fake nails, so I think they don´t care about them, as long as you keep them in natural color (french manicure I think is fine) and in the allowed lenght. :)

Also make sure they won't affect your job before you get them. I know I wouldn't have them if I was at Attractions and I already broke a regular nail when I was doing custodial so they would be a no no there for safety reasons. :-D

Just use your own judgement.

:lol: Well see, here's the thing, my nails are pretty short and I don't like long nails. But the whole fake nails I think look prettier. But I never get them long. They just barely go past the tips of my fingers. So they wouldn't be long. And if I decide to get them, I wouldn't get them until after I found out where I'll be working. If you could only see my nails now! LMAO! :lol: Thanks for the reply girls! :sohappy: :wave:

Aimee, I see no problem with the acrylic nails. As I said, just keep them well maintained and in the permitted lenght. They can be blue or green or red or pink on your days off, but to work, just keep them clean! :lol:

I was surprised that my nails grew long while I lived in Orlando... must have been the water... :animwink:

acrylic nails are cool, but can't extend more than 6mm from the fingertip

Get a French manicure (a real one with the two colours of acrylic, not painted on). Then when you're off, you can paint them another colour (with a good basecoat!) and when you go back to work, you take the colour off and your nails don't look yucky underneath. But remember to get them rebalanced every 2 weeks or so, otherwise they will look rather bad, kind of like mine! :lol:
