They kicked out Miller and Fonts and they have Madden. Now they're going after Costas and Letterman. I think this is a good job by Disney/ABC to get back on track.

What??? They got rid of Dennis Miller and Dan Fouts, are you sure?? I didn't hear anything about them getting the AXE, I thought they just added Madden as a 4th commentator.

Madden is so bad, Summerall is even worse, I don't like this move at all!

I hope Letterman goes to ABC, and somehow CBS get's Conan to take Letterman's slot to compete and beat out Jay Leno. But Conan just signed that huge contract, so I guess I'm dreaming.

Jeez, and don't get me started on Costas, I don't like these moves.

And what about Politically Incorrect, does that move to 12:30????

Sorry to disagree, but Nightline is a huge strength, especially in a time of war. It often beats Letterman, but has an older, more mature audience. Most important, though, it is great journalism. If you've never watched it, try it, especially on a night with a topic you know. You will not find better reporting and research, except maybe in big newspapers.

Letterman is great, and so is Leno. But Nightline is fine, too. We don't need to kick it out just to move Letterman.

As for money, Nightline actually makes a good sum of money for ABC. They are just risking it to try to make more with Letterman.
They seem to forget that Nightline's demographic (older, more educated) has advertisers too (mutual funds, cars, mortgages). They may not be flashy, but they are important, also; and in the long run these buying decisions will be advertised somewhere.

You can see discussions of that on the news links on the WDW main page, or on my other postings.

I've never got into it and never will, I got a packed schedule as it is at 11:30: Simpsons, Stern Show, CNN, ESPN, and they are showing "the JOB" for six nights on Comedy Central at 11:30, so I'm packed!

I don't really care what happens, because I don't like Letterman, don't care for Leno, and really don't care about Nightline.

I watch FOX News and CNN.
