ABC Ties in Drew Carey to 'MNF'

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- It's so handy when you're "related" to people you like. ABC loves Hank Williams Jr. and the way he's been introducing "Monday Night Football" for 14 years. Comedian Drew Carey met Williams several years ago at a network party, and they got along really well. Now ABC is moving "The Drew Carey Show" and "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" to Monday nights, and Carey is getting ready to dress up like Bo-cephus and lip-sync, "Are You Ready for Some Screwballs?" Carey will tape the piece on Friday in Los Ange-les, with the lines: "We'll get your whole gang laughing and feeling all right, when 'Drew' and 'Whose Line' kick off Monday night.'" Carey is a huge Bocephus fan. Williams' spokesman says the sitcom star asked the musi-cian to "bring his fiddle and come on the show, anytime."
