ABC soaps

Just curious on the subject, with Super Soap Weekend coming up soon....any other ABC soap fans around? Anyone else going to SSW?

Personally, I'm an "All My Children" fanatic since day 1. I am SOOOOOOOOO thrilled beyond words about SSW this year. Just checked the attending stars list. I'm a bit bothered by Cameron Mathison (Ryan Lavery) being off the show & therefore not being at SSW. He gained quite a reputation for showing off those massively WOW abs at SSW. Now, Josh Duhamel (Leo DuPres) is leaving too & not making an appearance at SSW, but I am recovering quickly now that I see that Sam Page (Trey Kenyon) is on the list. He is definitely the newest & best hunk on AMC. I mean...YOWZERS! Also thrilled to see that Eva LaRue Callahan will be there. I was a huge Edmund & Maria fan. Glad to see her back.

Speaking of AMC, I now have to run so I can watch today's episode & figure out if they actually killed Leo or not. How they could seperate Leo & Greenlee, I'll never understand. They always kill the best couples.

I only watch CBS soaps, and I watch Falcon Crest and Knots Landing on SoapNet hehe!!! And they just bought the rights to Dynasty SOOOO I am so excited!!!

I am a big port charles and general hospital fan cant wait I am going to be there that weekend i just wish sonny and jax were there they were there last year though oh well

Yes, unfortunately Leo is dead. They didn't find the body yet and probably won't so he can come back later with no memories just like they did with Maria/Maureen AND Tad/Ted...

I went to SSW last year and it was SO fun. Make sure you get there really early (I'm talking 5:30-6am) to get a wristband to meet Susan Lucci other wise you will be turned away from her autograph line. They only give out 100 per session and 50 standby. All the other autograph sessions are 1st come 1st serve. If you want to meet Walt Willey, hang out around the exit stairs by the stage that lead to the side that the Brown Derby is on. He doesn't have an autograph session, but he does exit off the stage and into a side door of the Brown Derby. If you have any question, please post them and I'll be happy to answer.

Oh, I was a HUGE Knots Landing fan back when it was new. I also LOVED Dallas. I got started young, I know. Still haven't been able to watch Knots on SoapNet, unfortunately, bad timing for me. I'd love to, though!

I loved Sonny when he was Nico on AMC. I thought he was going this year? Darn! I know that ex-Greg (Lawrence Lau) is going this year now that he's on OLTL. I really would love to add him to my must-meet list. Greg & Jenny were the ultimate supercouple!

Thanks for the tips!!! I'm soooo confused as to how to tackle it. I would've never thought to get there so early, so thanks!!!! I actually entered a contest that a local radio station is running for a chance to ride ToT with Walt Willey during SSW!! *crossing fingers* I love him to death. His stand-up comedy is surprisingly great! Total contrast to the serious persona of Jackson! I do hope to meet Susan. I think the biggest ones for me are Sam Page (Trey), Rebecca Budig (Greenlee...I've heard she is such a sweetheart), Jack Scalia (Chris) & Lawrence Lau (ex-Greg). Not sure...I'd love to meet them all, but I'm well aware that that is not possible. I hate decisions!!

I am so torn up over Leo. I know they're leaving the door open for Ryan to come back & he WILL, but between him & Leo, I'm ready to scream. They were the best personalities on the show & their looks didn't hurt. I was also loving the Ryan/Kendall thing anyway. I'm really sick of the writers/actors killing off the best couples. First, Ryan/Gillian & now Leo/Greenlee. No wonder people can't believe in true love anymore! LOL

Actually you'd be surprised at how many you'll get to meet.
Last year, in just 2 days, I met:
Greenlee
Leo
Erica
Adam/Stuart
Tad
Jackson
and I got really close (enough for good pictures) to:
Anna/Alex
Ryan
Chris

I actually got to see/meet all the people that were there from AMC, and Leo gave me a kiss...:sohappy:
