ABC Goes With Something Old, New
NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) -- ABC Sports will use many familiar faces and some new talent as it is set to kick off its 37th consecutive season of college football coverage with some reshuffled broadcast teams, ABC said Thursday. In two veteran broadcast teams, Brent Musburger will team with NFL quarterback Gary Danielson supported by Jack Arute on the sidelines, while play-by-play announcer Brad Nessler will once again team with analyst Bob Griese, helped by Lynn Swann on the sidelines. In a reshuffled duo, Keith Jackson, the "Voice of College Football," will be joined by NFL Hall of Famer Dan Fouts, who returns to the college scene after two seasons as an analyst on ABC's "Monday Night Football." Todd Harris will work the sidelines for them.
