AAA Parking - How Important Is It?

I am planning on buying my tickets for my trip to Walt Disney World this Christmas (12/22-1/1. I know it's a lousy time, I had no other choice) through AAA to take advantage of their special parking privileges. We are staying off-site, have 6 adults and 2 children in the party, and are planning on renting at least 2 cars. What are the AAA parking spaces like? With 8 passes, do you get 2 spaces? Would I be better off getting my tickets through another agency that might be cheaper?

As always, I depend upon your knowledge and expertise.

I bought two tickets through AAA and received one parking pass. I don't know if you can request a second one. If not, then you can always just make two separate purchases through AAA. The spots were great. They were always super close and we never had to wait for a tram. Here is a pic of our car all by its lonesome when we arrived at the park before opening:

You're staying absolute peak time.. so you aren't really going to find bargins around. If AAA is getting you a break.. take it. You'll probably need to make separate bookings to get multiple passes - but just ask.

The parking is literally right up front.. near the handicap spaces. But I wouldn't ever make my travel decisions on it alone.. its a nice perk if its available but not worth breaking yourself for. Disney parking transportation is simple enough.

The Diamond Passes are usually for those who book their trip entirely through the AAA travel service. That said, we've never had any issue simply going in and asking for a couple of them (which we did for our last trip at the end of the year).

Bear in mind though, there are blackout dates on the passes, which I believe includes many of the holidays around Christmas and New Years. In addition, if the parks are at or near capacity they may not allow parking in the Diamond spots.

Like many things in life, they're nice if you can get one. The number of AAA Diamond parking spaces is pretty limited and there's no guarantee one will be available when you go to a park. On my last visit I was able to park in that section about 20% of the time over the course of a week.

During the busiest time of the year it might be even more difficult...
