AAA discounts

I've heard Universal give discounts on merchandise if you have AAA. How does that work?

They had a AAA when we visited in January. Last I heard, that was a thing of the past however, UNLESS you bought your admission tickets through AAA and received a discount voucher from them. No voucher, no discount anywhere. (Some one correct me.)

American Express has an almost identical discount as the old AAA. you can look it up, but think 10% off 50 or more purchase. And discounts at many many restaurants. Basically ask at each and every place you spend money.

Edit: when we were buying something at some place, I asked if they had a aaa or amex discount and they said they were identical. That was before the aaa was discounted.

Have fun.

Thanks that's what I thought. I'm getting my tickets from AAA. I'll remember to get the voucher and make sure to get stuff at the same place. Ca ching!

It was really nice. I will say that if you have an amex card, you might find you can get tickets cheaper at undercover tourist. Also, depending on when you go, we found a power pass which gave us a discount on on-site rooms ended up net saving us money over just buying tickets.
