If I am set on taking family to stay at the Poly(and a theme park view) and my dates (May 08) are set, is there a better discount opportunity that AAA for room rates? My family took me to WDW yearly as a kid, but I havent been since then!

The only other possibilities that come to mind would be an annual pass or Florida resident discount neither of which will be available, if available at all, until the February/March time frame.

If your dates and hotel choice are set, I would suggest making the reservation with the AAA discount now. Then, if/when discounts come out in a few months, you can compare them to what you have.

There may be General Public discounts available, or as Master Yoda said above, there might be AP discounts. It might be worth one adult in your group buying an AP just to get the rate, especially at Polynesian prices. Some people save many hundreds of dollars with an AP discount.

Once you a booked with AAA you want to be sure that there will be no penalties for cancelling with them should you find a better discount on a special. You cannot add a specials to your AAA rate as that would be double dipping. You can't get a discount on a discount. With Disney we never know what kind of specials they may decide to do. I would suggest your book with a travel agent, they can also book you with a AAA room only discount. Do not purchase your tickets. You can always get your tickets later with AAA. Then compare what you have with what is being offered. Your travel agent should be doing all of this work for you.
