:xmas: In the spirit of the holiday season and the spirit of competition..I propose that you match the current offer from Sea World and Busch Gardens....pay for one day and play all year!

I am a really big Disney fan and I swear that the $1000+ that my family will save on the 4 park annual pass purchase we plan to make in January will go towards cute stuffed animals, pressed pennies and character meals throughout the year. I may even stay on site a few times, even though my house is only 40 minutes away:D .

C'mon Disney whadduya say?!?!!? I think it's a GREAT idea! :sohappy:

How about four days ... no, wait, how about a lifetime of free rooms, free park tickets, and free meals. Only for me, though. I don't want the company to go broke; I just don't want to pay. :D

How bout they just let me have 4 days for free and I promise to spend $1000 each day on eating and souivoners. ;)

^^^^ that wouldnt be hard to do, I mean just eat at Planate Hollywood, Tainforest Cafe, Italy, Cindy's Castle, etc.

that would cover a lot in my family, and if we went to down town disney!!!! wow

that would be cool and i would do it, its not like i'm paying for the bills, i'm only 14

How about allowing AP to enjoy the EMH as well?:sohappy:

You beat me to it. I was just about to say that.

Also, they should work out some deal with the APs that lets you take advantage of the DDP. Like a way to just get the resort and the DDP without having to buy a ticket to the park.

Disney does not require a gimmick like that to encourage people to come back to their parks

Happiest Celebration on Earth
100 Years of Magic
Millenium Celebration

Disney does gimmicks, they just disguise them as celebrations.

Those are advertising campaigns. There is a huge difference between having an advertising campaign and giving guests free entry into the parks. And yes what Sea World and Busch Gardens do is giving guests free entry into the parks. Buy one-day get 364 free. Seems kind of desperate to me. They wouldn't offer that if they didn't feel they had to. Trust me they don’t do it to be nice.

So if I understand this correct. You pay for a one day ticket to Sea World and you get an annual pass for free??
if you are a Florida resident. Out of staters get return visits within one week of the initial purchase. We get them for the entire year.

What about me?

I say guys from Wisconsin named Ralph should get in for free. That would be a great promotion. From my point of view, everyone wins.

Advertising is the ultimate showroom for a companies gimmicks. Without a gimmick WDW would eventually be lost in the theme park world.

EMH - gimmick
"Celebrations" - gimmick
DME - gimmick
The free meal plan that was offered - gimmick
"Magic" - gimmick

I'm sure there are plenty more. Gimmicks are what attract people to...most everything there is that can be advertised. The degree of the gimmick may vary but you can be sure there will always be one there to lure you in or at least lure in new folks. :)

I never said advertising was not a gimmick, nor did I ever say Disney does not use gimmicks. What I said was that Disney does not need to resort to desperate gimmicks such as that one. Come on, buy one days admission get an Annual Pass free. Thats crazy.

I hope they never do that. As a FL resident I pay @ $200 for my pass, if I bought a one day ticket for each park to get in all year that would be @ $60.00 X 4 = $240.00
