A Valentine's Day & Birthday Celebration!

During a brief breakfast discussion yesterday morning, DH and I were recalling how growing up everyone (in the Northeast, at least) would go to Florida during President's week. I would often go to Disney with my family or visit my grandparents in Delray Beach.

Well, we decided yesterday what better way to celebrate our DD's birthday, which also happens to be on Valentine's Day, with a trip to Disney. We were just there in July for my birthday, but it's a great time of year to celebrate and make a return trip. We will be in Disney just before the President's week crowds, though we may get hit with some of it. That's what I can't recall. How busy are the parks just before President's week/Valentine's Day?

Also, in terms of packing, what has the weather been like? I do recall a few visits in my youth where jackets and hats/gloves were necessary. Packing tips for Februrary would be helpful as well. Thanks!

The weather then is hit or miss. I've been and it's been in the 70s everyday in shorts and a tee shirt but I've also been then where all day I needed a jacket and it's in the 40s and 59s. Just look at the weather forecast before you go and it'll be close to accurate. As far as crowds go, you should be good. That's after Christmas and before spring break. On the weekends it'll be crowded like always. So I'd hit up MK and Epcot in weekdays.

My birthday is on Valentine's Day :) and my daughter and I went to WDW last year, the 13th (Thursday) thru the 17th (Monday, which was President's Day). We had a couple days of sunshine (sweater/sweatshirt during the day, coats at night) and one day of rain. The parks were very busy! If you are there earlier in the week (before the weekend) crowds will probably be less. We still had a great time, but we were surprised how by many others were there.

Great. Thanks for the info! We will be doing all of the parks before the weekend so we should be in good shape.

We will be arriving midweek until the 16th so we should not run into too many crowds, I hope. Though we typically go in the summer, so we are used to all of the people. Hoping the weather holds up, as an over-packer trying not to overpack, weather deviations can put a big damper on that! And Happy Birthday/Valentine's Day on the 14th!
