The Discover 5% cashback bonus for April-June includes purchases at restaurants, and at wholesale clubs such as BJ's. (Be sure to log into your Discover account each quarter, to check the cash back calendar and "activate" your bonus.)
That means, if you use your Discover card to purchase Disney gift cards at BJ's (which are discounted around 4%) from now through the end of June, you can get an additional 5% cash back on Discover (*up to a $75 limit for the quarter -- so the 5% cash back will max out after you've made $1,500 in eligible purchases at restaurants and wholesale clubs, after which it will revert to the standard 1% cash back until July).
So if you purchased three (3) discounted $500 Disney gift cards from BJs at a cost of $480 apiece ($1440 total), and then subtracted your 5% cash back from Discover ($72), you'd have spent a total of $1,368 on $1,500 worth of gift cards -- a net savings of $132, or about 9%. It's not much, but every little bit helps!
