The other night I had a weird dream about the Haunted Mansion. I can't remember which park it was, but the strangest thing is that there was a new character added in the storyline in my dream. I recall when I first entered the foyer, there were several pictures. One was of the Ghost Host(Like the one in WDW), one of Leota, and one of a family: a husband, wife, and three children, a brother and his two younger sisters. Also there was a piano playing different music, which sounded like an upbeat verison of the main theme to Phantom Manor, with a little girl's voice singing with it. Then it stopped and the usual organ GGG music started with the Ghost Host's narration. Then, in the portrait gallery all the paintings were different. The only one I could remember was one of the brother and sisters who appeared in the foyer. The older brother was in a river near the Mansion swimming, his younger sister was sitting on a riverbank watching, and the older sister was standing at the edge of the river like she was shouting at him. The painting streched to reveal alligators and posinous snakes lurking in the river(I guess the brother didn't see them and the older sister was warning him). Then the Ghost Host actually appears floating near the top of the room and says to "Be careful and heed all warnings." The he pointed towards the painting of the boy swimming. "This foolish boy sure didn't! He should have listened when he was told not to swim in that river! Instead, he lead he and his sisters to a ghastly demise! Oh sure, you're wondering what could have happened to the girls when they were at a distance! Well, you better be thinking about more important things!" Then we went into the "Chamber has no windows...etc", and the ride started to go through as usual. Then, after I passed library, I started to hear the little girl from the foyer singing again, and the music changes and the Ghost Host said along the lines of, "Listen. It must be young (I couldn't remember the name). Her parents died while she was still mortal, and she was sent to live with relatives here. While most ghosts retire here, her parents have yet to come. She spends most of her time singing in mourning in her room. Listen closer to her sad lament." Then the music changed to a sad music box, and I passed by what I think was the older daughter's room, and she could be heard singing in a sad tone. She was looking at something on her table, I believe a picture of her parents. Then as I rounded the corner towards the Endless Hallway, the Ghost Host. "Poor girl. She's one of the few here who dosen't have a frightfully good time. Take her brother and sister for example. They are more...in the goulish spirit." They I passed the Endless Hallway, I could hear laughing, and I could briefly see ghosts of the brother and youngest sister flying down it. Then the ride moved on like normal till I got to the Ball Room, the youngest sister was seated at the party, and the ghosts of the streching painting people were there. There was also an added stairway to the attic, where a toy ball suddenly flies out of nowhere, and then the ghost of the brother flew right in front of the DoomBuggy, causing it to shake like it was going to fall over. After reaching the graveyard, the music was like Phantom Manor's GGG, with Leota there singing. Somewhere in there, the brother and sisters were there singing GGG, too. The brother was dancing along singing in a peppy tone, the youngest sister was in a swing playing a flute, while the older sister was standing back singing in her sadder tone. Then after the Hitchhiking Ghosts, the Ghost Host said, "Oh, and if you truly wish to find out more about the children and their demise, along with ALL of ours, there are booklets available, near the exit. Read them, if you dare..."
Then as I exited, the youngest sister was in place of Little Leota doing a variation of the "Hurry back, hurry back..." speil, and I see little HM pamphlets being held out as you leave, with the history of the Gracey family and the Mansion. I learn from the pamphlet that the boy was dragged under the river by a gator, the younger sister fell into river from fright and drowned, and the older sister went for help, but she tripped and was bitten by a snake! As I exited the Manison and walked outside, they had a memorial statue of the children! Then my dreams went un-Disney related, and later I was swapped back into Disney dreams. I was on the Railroad passing behind the Mansion. There was a river on the other side of the train, and there was a warning sign stating that alligators and snakes constantly infested the river(with animatronic gator tails popping out of the water), and you could see a small, mud-covered necklace with a shattered jewel. I remember that the older daughter worn one exactly like that in the strech painting. The narration on the train went: "On our left is a dangerous river. As you can see, alligators roam it constantly, so swimming in it's a bad idea. That warning sign wasn't put up until some time after some children swam in there...they lived in that old mansion you see up ahead. It's still open, you can go there if you want to know what happened. But I've heard some strange tales about that old house, so you'd better be careful if you find yourself goin' in!"
Then my dreams about the Mansion ended...what do you think?
