In June our beloved yorkshire terrier, Minnie, passed away suddenly at the age of 11, the day after the tragedy, Me, my mom, and my father, determined that we weren't going to be able to stay in the house as it was too painful. We decided "let's go to florida." Thanks to some wonderful cast members, we were able to get a reservation on short notice that very day for 4 days. Long story short, our last day there, we were eating lunch at crystal palace when my Mom started crying. (We had all had crying episodes during this span.) Tigger came over, and he threw my stepdad on top of my mom, then he dragged me on top of my parents and then he was on top of me, and it was a huge hug. It was the first time in almost a week that the 3 of us started laughing. I doubt "Tigger" reads these boards, but if he does, words cannot express how thankful I am to that "tiger" Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will never forget that as long as I live. Plus I thought this might warm some hearts.

That is so awesome! I am really glad you guys were able to find laughter a little bit during your trip..Losing a pet is very hard. My cat died when she was 14, on my birthday last year. It was so hard...

*hugs* for you!

That made me cry, my golden retriever Mikey fought cancer for 2 years until we finally had to put him to sleep. It makes me so happy that the cast members do things to try and bring joy. Even the littlest of actions can make a big difference.

I am sorry to read about your loss. It is amazing how much the passing of a pet can affect you.
I would definately do what Barnum suggested. They will make sure that he or she gets a big thumbs up from you.

Losing a pet is just as hard hitting as losing a person. It really is amazing. Its sad that some people out there don't understand the love a pet brings to your life.

Glad Tigger helped :)

:( I am so sorry for your loss. I know how you feel, though.

Losing a pet is a terrible thing. I had a dog, Amber, she was 15 years old when she was put to sleep -on my 14th birthday  It was the worst birthday I've ever had, I love and miss her very much. R.I.P. Amber.

Wow, what a wonderful ending to a sad story. I currently have one dog that is around 9 years old and one cat around a year with her kitten of 9 weeks. Before this we also had another dog that at age 4 went blind and was having real bad problems. We tried to keep her around for about 6 months, but she was very defensive and a potential problem with our 2 year old at the time. We had to put her to sleep, but I still remember so much about her.

We had a beagle named Aladdin. He was 9 years old. We had to put him to sleep 2 years ago and we are still not over it. He was our first pet together. My hubby got him for me for Valentines Day. He was truely our first born.

The same week we put him to sleep was the same time the doctor told me I was pregnant with twins! It was the worst and best week of our lives!
RIP Al - we miss you.

As corny as this may sound, I want to thank everyone for their warm responses to Minnie. She was the sunshine of our lives. I was hoping no obnoxious people would be posting "no reason to be all upset over a dog" I want to thank everyone for their responses, condolences, and suggestions. I really feel like part of the wdwmagic family now! Once again, thank you.

Aww, I'm very sorry about your loss, and I'm glad that some CMs are looking out for their guests. I know a certain "Tigger" that comes across these boards, but, It wasn't him.
