A Question for Decision 2012

I was recently having a discussion with some friends about the upcoming election and our general consensus is that it is one of those years that one hopes that there would be enough write-in votes to make Mickey Mouse our 45 president. Now, I'm not suggesting something as preposterous as this occurring, but I do wonder what the Disney Co. would have to do if the more economically minded Scrooge McDuck were sent to the Oval Office. Would they have to hand draw every State of the Union Address? Would it be a lackluster CGI? Would WDI fashion an Articulated Headed Character and keep Alan Young on hand? I also would look forward to the Hall of President's update! What do you say America, McDuck in 2012?

What's weird is they did something like this but with Winnie the Pooh in the late 70's

There was also a campaign at Disney World in the 90's, where you voted for a character. I think I voted for Goofy.

It was back in the summer of 1996. I recall that they had a newpaper hand out that gave the backstory (though I've yet to find it in my archives), but I found an image of the ballot over at angryap.blogspot.com.

The most important vote I ever cast was for the Silly Rabbit to get the Trix. I was never more impassioned. I was all over my mom to make SURE she got that out in the mail right away.

My dad said he was going to vote against the rabbit and an approximately 30 minute long conversation, including some tickling, IIRC, ensued. I finally persuaded him not to vote against the rabbit.

No election has ever been as important to me.

(The rabbit won.)

There is a slight chance that I might have one of those ballots somewhere in my old bedroom at my mom's house. I also clearly remember getting mad at my Dad for voting for Hook at the time.
