A question and possibly a favor...ha

Okay, so my wife and I may be purchasing AP's, as we will (hopefully) be going several times within a years time, so it made sense financially. In November, we are looking at staying in a family suite at AoA. I know that AP holders can get some discounts on resorts. Here's my question, does anyone who currently has an AP know if the family suites are eligible for the discount and how much the discount typically is for that time of year (November 24-Dec 1)? Without having the AP already, it won't let me see the nightly rates or how much a package would be, and the CM's I spoke with really didn't help much other than to say, "yeah you're gonna need to go ahead and buy the AP first", which makes sense, but isn't quite helpful at the moment. Ha Just trying to budget out a bit.

We currently have two standard Pop rooms booked, but wanted to check the price between those and an AP rated family suite to see if they are comparable, as the suites are our first choice.

Thank you so much!

Oh and, if it matters, there will be 4 adults and one child on the package. Thanks!

AP discounts for the fall/winter have not been released.

Not all resorts are eligible for an AP discount. Disney has really limited AP discount availability in the last couple years. Value resorts tend to be about 20 percent off rack rate. You can check rack rates on Disney’s site and do the math to see what an AoA suite would cost should a discount be offered.

Also check out mousesavers.com. They have historical data on discounts - how much, which resorts, when released.

In addition to what has already been said, keep in mind that AP promotions often overlap with the time frame of promotions offered to the general public. Although the AP discount is usually better, if you're making the decision to buy an AP based on room discounts you have to keep in mind that you may already have a (possibly smaller) discount available even without having an AP.

As an example- I just looked at the current AP promotion which ends on June 10. It gives a 17% discount on Family Suites at AoA. The general public promotion covering those same dates gives a 10% discount.
Rack rate is $414 per night for the dates I was checking.
