The Polynesian Luau at Disney's Polynesian Resort is going down for refurbishment from January 7, 2003 until February 28, 2003.

Time to make some new dinner reservations :(

My personal suggestion if you want to stay in the Polynesian is to eat at 'Ohana on the 2nd floor of the lobby. Talk about eating 'till ya puke!

Agreed...

I also think it is better than the Luau. The food is almost the same (if not better) and the entertainment is fine. They have activities for kids. You can also watch the fireworks from Ohana if you time it right.

Another thing I enjoyed about Ohana when I went in 2000 was that it was raining. Not good if you are in the park, but makes for a great atmosphere when you sitting by the window looking outside.

Is the luau any good? I heard mixed reactions. I love Ohana for breakfast! Maybe they'll have Lilo and Stitch join the characters in there in the near future ("Ohana means family. Which means no one get's left behind")

That would be sweet if Lilo & Stitch joined. That in and of itself (along with the great food) would make me go back again!
