Trip Report A one day trip Report!

Ok so I totally failed to post a trip report for our becoming annual passholder trip. But I figured I would do a quick report on our one day trip (Saturday). Last weekend before my wife goes back to school and to help celebrate my sons 4th birthday (coming up this week). I also have a one year old daughter.

So as you can tell it was about 6:15 here. We actually left about 4:20. (Joke in there somewhere but I'll let you make it) This was actually our second stop of the morning. My son had to go before this. Thankfully we have a car potty and I just stopped on an off ramp and he went and I dumped it. My wife made me stop at a gas station a little later.

We got parked and were on the ferry about 7:50ish.

We heard the end of the welcome show as we were walking underneath the train station. The MPB was in the station so we went up and got on. Trains are my sons favorite thing and it 5th only to the tram, monorail, people mover and speedway. So we hoped on and were out of the station by 5 after 8. It worked out well as it made him happy and we had a date with Splash mountain. WE had 8:05 FP but we wouldn't have need them. It had a delayed opening and BTM was a walk on. I'm throwing my hat in the ring. Someone tag Tuvalu because I have no idea how?

So the next stop was splash. It was open after we rode big thunder and we had FP but it was a walk on.

This is my favorite ride. . . hands down.

Also there were several photos that looked like this.

Moral of the story. . . rope drop the magic kingdom! Especially if it open at 8!

After this we headed over to Gaston's. I had managed to pack food for the kids to eat for breakfast but neglected to pack anything for the wife and myself. We split a cinnamon role (OMG IT IS SO BIG AND YUMMY, thanks again to Tuvalu and her trip reports, they are the reason I know about them) and the fruit and cheese platter. In my opinion the $9 isn't worth it but my kids love fruit so it worked well.

Also Gaston's chair is in its rightful place. I asked my son who he though sat in there and he said a dog!

Opp's I forgot to mention before we went to Gaston's we did small world. It was a walk on and it is my daughters favorite ride. She just looks at everything in amazement. With the four of us we always seem to get seated in the front row as well, which is perfect. My daughter can sit on the seat and still see everything. The signs were working again, just a couple of weeks ago they were just static.

After Gaston's we hit Little Mermaid - walk on, then dumbo - another walk on. I had a FP for my son and I at the speedway, he loves driving it. My wife on the other hand does not enjoy riding with him as he isn't the best driver and bangs back and forth a lot.

So I got her FP for Pooh and she took our daughter. After that my son and I hit the tea cups (another walk on) and we rode with another father and son. As we got in the dad looked at me and said we aren't going to spin, I looked right back and him and said PERFECT! We then went to the people mover and had about a 5 min wait. I think the procedure for loading people is causing the bigger wait times. We ended up with a whole line of cars all to ourselves for a little #SHIRLEYSTATUS

After that we hit the laugh floor. And in were in the next available show.

We were all getting a little hot and hungry to we went to Columbia Harbor house for lunch. I like the kids meals here. They come with applesauce and yogurt smoothie. My wife and I enjoy Pecos Bill's but they give carrot sticks instead of yogurt. My kids wont touch carrots unless they are cooked.

I had the lobster roll.

It was pretty good but I didn't think the chips were the best. They are good but I have had a lot better and local places that make this style of chip. Wife had the tuna and she said it was alright but wasn't as good as Jimmy Johns tuna which is her favorite.

Alright. . .so I got sidetracked by real life and its time to wrap this us. After we ate lunch we went to Mickey's Philharmagic. The glasses we got this time were a lot better. A couple of weeks ago the ones we got were just terrible. My son still refuses to wear the glasses. Not sure why. After that we had a FP for Peter Pan. We all enjoy this one! My son likes to point out tic toc crock. Mainly the one at the end of the ride when you are getting off. We were a little hot and tired so we decided to go see the bears. Had a good fun group singing along with us. Then we went and saw the birds in the tiki room. My daughter slept the whole time. I had grabbed a FP for the carpets so because my son had said several times how he wanted to ride it. While we rode my wife grabbed a couple of Dole whips and man were they yummy. We decided the MK was getting too crowded so I grabbed FP for Nemo and we hopped to Epcot on the monorail. We spent some time in the aquarium and I was able to nab some soarin FP's for the wife and I.

We went to the Land pavilion and rode Living with the Land (the dog is still working @Tuvalu ) and got a bit sad as we passed the entrance to the theater. One of us would ride Soarin while the other took our son to see Simba and friends. Can't do that now and there isn't much to look at in the pavilion. They usually have one of the mobile merchandise carts walking around and the cast member usually lets the kids play with one of the bubble wands. Our kids really enjoy bubbles and my wife got the kids one last time we were there.

It wasn't time for our Soarin FP yet, had about 25 minutes but the wait was only 25 min. So I rode first and we asked for a rider swap. By the time I was done the FP window had hit and my wife went on. I was curious if they used the rider swap or the FP and in fact they had used the FP. She didn't try to go back again but it would have been interesting to see if the rider swap was still there as well. I could have certainly rode again as my FP was still there.

It rained pretty good while we were in the Land and we had forgotten to get a rain cover for the new stroller so the seats were soaked. We called it a day at this point and headed back to the monorail. Note my wife carried the daughter and my son stood in the sit and stand part of the stroller so no wet bottoms on the way home. It was around 6ish when we got back to the TTC. I checked to see if anything opened at Ohana (my wife's favorite) but the first thing was at 8:35. Would have been a great fireworks view but no way could the kids make it until then and we still had to drive home. Maybe next time. We got in the car and headed home. The kids both fell asleep before we hit I-4. We stopped for some Bread Company for supper and made it home about 10:20. And there you go a 16 hour trip to Disney and back.
