A new Indiana Jones adventure!

So for a while I've been brainstorming (or "thought-showering" as I'm supposed to be saying now) about a new Indiana Jones attraction. I've been working on this A2 sketch intermittently for a while now and I hope I can get it online before I have to go back to uni.
The general theme is an underground roman temple complete with broken pillars, mediterranean plants, teracotta roof tiles etc and as the jeep drives through, water is pouring down from all sides so its a race to find the artifact before the temple is flooded completely!

As always I love to hear peoples thoughts and suggestions, I know theres a lot of talent on the imagineering board which has always been a favourite haunt of mine. So please comment!

sounds good... maybe you could make it so the guests travel to an underground roman temple (like you said) and have a pre chow that will somehow show the guests stealing the artifact and then that sets off a chain reaction of water gates opening and the water begins to pour down.. so you enter another room where water is coming out of the walls giving the illusion that the room is flooding.. and thenin order to escape you must board the vehicle in order to escape the flooding building... what do u think

Its to bad that Disney isnt planning an Indy ride for MGM. Since Indy 4 comes out next year it would have been the perfect time.

I think its reactive. If the movie does well, you may see an overhaul. Right now, there are 2 stunt shows. I'm not sure if that will last, although frankly the new one is poor and is well below the Indy show

Yeah I agree with you. Would be a big mistake to invest large amounts of money in a new attraction only to have it empty if the film flops.
I think the same thing happened with a ________ Tracy attraction, when the movie bombed, plans for the ride were scrapped (the fact that replica guns were going to be used didn't help either)

Ive nearly finished the first concept picture and so I'll post it up soon.

So, here it is. Concept art for the main chamber, just gives you an idea of colours and textures. The ride vehicle would drive through the water, past the steps.

i think it would be cool if instead of a hole in the wall you could make a fountain that has water gushing out of it so much that part of the fountain is begining to chip away

After looking at this the only thing that I could add is that you may want to make the walls more of a dark tan rather then a whiteish color.

I based the colours on this Greek temple I visited on holiday, it was all very pale stone with bright green weeds and orange roof tiles.

Okay, it is just that the ancient Roman and Greek types of architecture are a little different in colors and design. I just returned from a Rome trip and would be glad to post a few example pics somewhere if you'd like.

Try to use these to get an idea about color and architecture in Rome. As you can probably see through these pictures, the Roman and Greek architecture styles are a little bit different.

why not change the ride vehicle to a boat. A high speed boat chase would be fun! Also why not add a curse or something to give it that extra Indy feel.

Yea the boat idea is a good one. How cool would it be to fly down a jungle river that leads into a mayan type temple. They could do boat and coaster like atlantis at seaworld. Only the boat wouldnt be flume but some sort of new tech.
