A New Discovery?

Though not strictly Disney, I wonder if anyone here has been to Discovery Cove. We have booked up for the day + dolphin swim during our upcoming trip. Any thoughts, tips or feelings about this park?

Hi Doc, There is a SeaWorld forum within these boards and a few posts on DC (you've posted in the wrong place !!!)

Anyway, we did 2 full days at DC this August - basically, there was an accident in one of the swim pools and so they were running late and couldn't reschedule everyone, so we got a second day, free !

DC is a truely wonderful place - limited numbers, breakfast + lunch included, free snacks and drinks - what more could you want.

It is pricey - but that does include all the above AND 7 consecutive days entry to SeaWorld.

The swim isn't the longest in the world - but the entire dolphin encounter lasts over 30 minutes.

In my opinion - very good value for money and an experience not to be missed

I echo the above. My parents went with us last winter, and Dad kept saying, "This is just like being on a cruise... but with no boat!" The all-inclusive nature of the place is nice and lets you make it a great full day. The dolphin swim is the big lure to the park, but there's a lot to do otherwise, too.

Two days? Wow! Sorry to hear about the accident, though.

My son and I always spend a day at DC. It's always one of our more relaxed days on vacation. It's totally worth it, IMHO. The atmosphere is great, the staff very friendly and the dolphin swim is extremely cool. Have fun!
