HEY ALL!!! I'm baaaaaack! Place has changed- haven't been here since- oh before Christmas. Anyway- We're planning a trip this coming March. We're trying something new after visiting in June, July, August, October, and Jan. My question is- how is it visiting in March in general. You know, crowds, refurbs, weather. Stuff like that- any info would be greatly appreciated. So good to be back! :sohappy:

Enjoyed March!

Hi,
I went the first week of March in 2002 and it was pretty good. The only other time I had been to WDW was when I was a teenager and it was during Christmas break so take that into consideration.
We spent 3 full days in the parks and it was misty the first two days and about 70-75 degree which was perfect for us and 2 small kids. We brought ponchos and they worked fine. It never really rain so we stayed in the parks even when it misted. Day 3 was really hot and sunny! 85ish!
Crowds were not too bad. We didn't have to wait but 5 mins for things in the early morning hours (early entry helped that). But by noon it was pretty busy for really popular rides and were 30+min waits. We would just head back to the WL and nap and then go back. We were able to see all of MK in two days and most of MGM in one day even with the 2-3 hours away.
The negative for some people is that the parks closed at 7pm. MK and MGM did at 7 and Epcot was open until 9. It was perfect for us with kids though. They did the fireworks every night. There was several rides being refurbished too. Goofy's Barnstomer and more that I can't remember.
Overall I would recommend this time if you have kids. Just don't do for Christmas unless you like mobs of people. :animwink:
HTH!

Early March is a quiet time, but watch out for mid-late March, as spring break crowds arrive. Weather is not too hot. Crowds are small and waits are generally short. As for refurbs, those can't be seen until Disney release that information, and for rehabs in March 2005, that probably won't be known until January or February. However, Soarin' Over California, the newest attraction at Epcot, will most likely be open, and there is a chance that the Lights, Motors, Action! Auto Stunt Show at the Disney MGM Studios will be showing as well.

Good luck on your decision. :D
