A little bit of help please.

Hi

So, our meals were booked four months ago and today we are 60 days out and have done our fastpasses. However, that has left me with a couple of potential clashes or at least we may be in a rush. Your thoughts would be much appreciated:-

1. 6.30 booking at Mama Melrose with then a 7.50 - 8.05 Fastpass slot for Fantasmic. I know the first thing people will say is that we don't need the Fastpass for Fantasmic but we have done it before and we got much better seats than without. Mama Melrose is the opposite side of the park so I foresee a mad dash.

2. 6.30 booking for Yak & Yeti with 7.00 - 8.00 slot for Kilimanjaro Safari. At least they are not far apart but I still think we will be struggling unless we rush our food. Realistically would the safari set off at 8.00 when the park hours are only until 8.00?

The obvious thing is to change the meal times but nothing else realistic is coming up just now.

Any thoughts, people?

Thank you

I agree with @DisneyJoe. Use the reservation finder.

I think the Mama Melrose is way too tight. I would cancel that and see what else is available. Have you thought about the Fantasmic Dining Package? The only thing there is the last meal time you can get is about 3 hours before the show.So maybe look at an early dinner or late lunch. It must be booked through the dining package page.

Yak & Yeti is do-able. Although what time is sunset? I would be wary of doing the Safari after sunset, since here is little light by which to actually see animals unless they’re pretty much beside the route.

I'd recommend trying to change things. You still have plenty of time to make adjustments by being online frequently. As you have it now Its going to be dining with anxiety, eating in a rush, hoping youll getting the bill paid quickly, rushing through the parks... worrying wether youll make it there. You wont be enjoying your meal or the experience. A little bit of rushing around at WDW is OK, but I'd rather have a relaxing meal time where there no worries or cares and you can have a good enjoyable dining experience. For the money you pay for the meal you dont want to be gulping it down.

They have artificial moonlight!!! I love night safari more than those in the day!

Mama Melrose may be close but I know that they give you a small window to be late for the rides. I'm not sure for shows. Yak and yeti I think is good. Our service there is always great. It never has felt dragged out like some other restaurants.

@RyanH, if you can't move your ADR for Yak & Yeti (a Landry's owned restaurant), you might consider purchasing a Landry's Select Club rewards program membership on the Landry's website. It costs about $25, but you get a "welcome credit" in that amount the first time you dine at a Landry's restaurant and present your membership card, so it ends up being free.

One of the perks of Landry's Select Club membership is "priority seating" -- allowing you to waltz into a Landry's restaurant any time you want, with no reservation, and be seated just as promptly as if you had one, with minimal wait. We've used it at Yak & Yeti and T-REX (FWIW, there are four Landry's restaurants at WDW: the others are the two Rainforest Cafes, one at DS and one at AK), and it works flawlessly.

My feelings on Mama Melrose deviate from the majority. If you can't move that ADR to an earlier time, I'd suggest keeping it, especially if you aren't slow eaters. My family routinely finishes TS meals within an hour of getting seated, and you've got a 95 minute window to get seated, eat and get to your FP+ (there's a 15-minute grace period at the end of the FP+ window for attractions, although I'm not sure if that counts for Fantasmic!). If you want to shave a few extra minutes off of your dining time, be sure your server knows you're on a tight schedule and would like your check delivered as soon as your entrees (or desserts, if you're getting them) arrive -- in our experience, we spend exponentially more time waiting for our check after we finish eating than we waited for the food to arrive in the first place! -- and peruse the menu on the MDE app ahead of time, so everybody's prepared to order right at the outset.
