hello everyone! i finally decided to sign up for this forum after reading it for the past year, it really helped me with my october trip to disney world! :D so i was thinking about going back next year in January while still on break from school and was wondering when a good time to go in late december and early january is? i have to go back to school on January 6th. another time that might work out is sometime in march during spring break, which is march 24th to the 28th, but i'm not sure of how the crowds would be. can anyone help?

Welcome to the forums!

Either way you'd get some pretty heavy crowds. Towards the end of your January trip, they would get lighter since a lot of kids start back on the 2nd. Spring break is also a pretty crowded time. New years would probably be whacked out at the parks. It's up to you. Decide whether you'd rather be there for winter events or whether you'd rather be there in the spring.

thank you all so much! :D i think we're going to end up going during march because of my dad not being able to have days off until the new year starts again, but hopefully it won't be too crowded! i don't even know if i'll be able to go on this trip this year (i'm actually saving up and paying for it myself, because i know my dad would like to go again and i would love to be able to too! but we don't have enough money to take a trip right now so i'm saving up from babysitting :D) but do you guys know any money saving tips? i think we'll only be going for 3 or 4 days opposed to our past trip with 5 days just to make it cheaper, but i'll still get park hopper. and i'm planning on us staying at the all star movie resort, but i would love to stay at the royal room at port orleans! it looks amazing! :D

Welcome, I agree with the others. I would really look at doing January 1st thru the 5th, if you get there on the first, it will still probably be pretty busy, but should slow down a lot over the next couple days, as well as the room rates may get a little cheaper as well. You will be able to look at the packages and room rates on line on the Disney World site on Wednesday, so that will help you plan out a little more. As for saving, the best advice I can give is when you go to spend money, is it something that you want or need more than going to WDW....if not, then put it aside. Hope it all works out for you and you have a great time.

thank you! :D i was looking on the site to try to plan for january and for march but they said certain rooms weren't available (for the all star resorts at least) is it because of the 90 days ahead reservations?

I agree with the others posters that you should try for the day after New Year's Eve. Spring Break will be crazy crowded. If you need help booking rooms, I (and many others on this forum) highly recommend Kingdom Konsultants. I assure you I have no stake in the company :) but they have been extremely helpful to me booking trips and getting the best prices. There is no fee for their services.

thanks! i was thinking that during january 2nd and a few days after would be a little crowded because of new years still but it'd be nice to go then! especially if it's not too hot, but i read somewhere that splash mountain would be closed? D: that's my favorite magic kingdom ride lol but again thank you! i'll check out kingdom konsultants too :D
