I was fortunate to be able to spend 3 weeks at Disney World (from sep 7 to Oct 2 2012). It was just myself and my special needs 10 year old son, and we had a trip that left us memories we will both cherish for a lifetime! And while I could probably make a small book out of the many cast members who were very nice or even exceptional, Zach and Ashley from the Tower of Terror were so kind that to this day when I think of them it brings tears of joy to my eyes! The Tower of Terror is my son's favorite ride in all of Disney World, and each time we went on it all of the cast were VERY considerate of his needs and so kind! Over the three weeks we got to know a few of them pretty well, and a young man named Zach and a young woman named Ashley really went out of their way to extend kindness and bring some pixie dust our way... on the last night of our trip we went to ride TOT a few more times before heading home, and they surprised him with a special treat! Ashley told us to come back right before the park closed and they would let us be the last people on the ride! My son was thrilled at the thought of having an elevator all to ourselves, and we came back a few minutes before closing, with him just overflowing with expectant joy! But it got better, Zach ( who had actually assisted us on our fist night at Disney World and become a well known and friendly face to us over the weeks) and Ashley were going to ride with us! Just the four of us, in the last elevator of the night! Words cant describe the joy on my sons face! And then after we all said goodby I went to the picture counter to purchase the photo, and the nice girl working there told me "its your second magical moment of the night, we will print out any size picture you want for free!" So now we have the 8x10 picture of this memory framed and in our living room, and I look at it every day as I pass it and see the look of pure joy my child's face and it takes me back to that moment and I smile! Everyday life is a real challenge for my child, he has a service dog to assist him at home, and struggles with many things most kids do on daily basis...but that moment and the many others we experienced at Disney allow us to have something positive to hold onto when the road seems really long and challenging! Thank you Zach and Ashley from the TOT, and the many other cast members that left us smiles in our hearts !
