So.. What if Downtown Disney had this huge auditorium that housed touring Disney broadway shows!? This would be flipping amazing!! Or what if they all played in rotation! I would love to see this..

-Beauty and the Beast
-Aladdin
-Mary Poppins
-The Little Mermaid
-Tarzan
-Aida
-Newsies
-The Lion King
-The Hunchback of Notre Dame (just recently released in Chicago I think?)

I'm kind of surprised this doesn't already exist! Imagine the money they'd make with these shows !!

The Walt Disney Theater at Dr Phillips Performing Arts Center just opened this month so I doubt Downtown Disney could compete with the magnitude of this place. In fact, Newsies will be performed this season.

Downtown Disney can easily compete with that place if they're showing Disney broadway shows on tour ! I'm sure these shows would make even more money than Cirque..

I did not know about the Walt Disney theater though... So I guess there really isn't a point now that I think about it .-.

I think something like this COULD work for Disney at Disney Springs. And I think it could compete with The theatre at the Performing Arts Center as well. The secret would be to keep the prices lower at The Springs. I thought I read where the Walt Disney Theatre would be for ALL Broadway shows, if there was a dedicated theatre at The Springs that just rotated Disney Broadway shows, I think it could work. Or if they couldn't place it at Disney Springs, maybe place it at The Studios with outside access so you don't have to buy a Park ticket to see a show! That way it would increase the traffic around the Studios.
