I just returned from my first ever trip to Walt Disney World, and I'm already experiencing the withdrawals! I don't have the patience to post photos to a thread, but I will link everyone to my Facebook album, if anyone's interested. Full pictures can be viewed here:

I have to warn everyone, they're mostly of me and my boyfriend - there are a series of pictures of Star Tours in Hollywood Studios, and of the safari in Animal Kingdom, though. So without further ado, are you ready to rock?

SUNDAY - MARCH 3, 2013
We landed in MCO around 3:20PM on Sunday the 3rd, and off we went in search of the Disney Magical Express that would take us to the Port Orleans-French Quarter. We were in our room by 4:30PM or so - # 3126, ground floor of building 3. This was a great room - it was centrally located to the main lobby/front desk, Sassagoula Food Factory (which we never did eat at, only going there to fill up our mugs), the bus stop, and the pool. Unfortunately, Florida weather did not cooperate (not that we were complaining, mind you - it sure beat the cold in metro New York!) and we didn't get to utilize the pool. It looked really nice, though.
After getting settled and changing (and a stop at the gift shop - I had to get my hands on the Mickey and Minnie mugs that Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan had when they did their week of shows at the World!), we hopped a bus to Magic Kingdom and then the monorail to the Polynesian for our dinner reservations at 'Ohana. We partook in the regular Disney Dining Plan, which we thought was very worth it and a great investment. We were each allotted one snack a person per day, one quick-service meal a person a day, and one table-service meal per person a day. Signature table service would be 2 credits a person, which we did do (more on that later).
I loved the monorail and immediately fell in love with The Contemporary. The fact that the monorail actually rides THROUGH the hotel blew my mind. We got off at The Polynesian, which was really pretty. However, we both felt that the lobby is a bit cluttered between the gift shop, 'Ohana, and Kona Cafe. This could also be because 'Ohana was extremely busy, and we wound up waiting around 40 minutes for our 8PM reservations. And of course, I can't vouch for the rooms.
'Ohana was delicious, and I was given a free chocolate cupcake for my first visit. We were also wished the first of many "Happy Anniversaries!"
After dinner, we took the bus to Downtown Disney to peruse the shops. I was focused on getting a pair of ears. I tried on MANY different styles, and decided that the classic "hat" was not the right look for me. Eventually, I settled on a bedazzled Minnie headband. At Thanks for the Memories (at least, I think that's what the store was called) we found the jackpot for my boyfriend, a crazy Star Wars fan: a pair of R2-D2 ears. We THOUGHT we'd fallen upon a rare specimen. Little did we know they sell them by the droves at the Star Wars shop at the end of Star Tours.
We decided to go back to the hotel for the night, since we had a big day the following morning: my first EVER park!
