A First PTR, Can't believe i get to go to Disney Again!

For the last 2 years my family and I have gone to Disney....and I convinced the DH to go again this year. It helped that the free dining was offered.

So for introductions this trip will be myself (Tara), DH and our 3 daughters and we are traveling Sept 13 - 21 and our Home will be POFQ.

Our trip in 2011
ry%3D400

and our trip in 2012
ry%3D400

I've only really planned out our ADR's so far and here's the list

14th - Crystal Palace
15th - Mama Melrose's (DH likes the Fantasmic Package)
16th - Teppan Edo
17th - Tusker House
18th - Cinderella's Royal Table (this is a first for us)
19th - La Hacienda de San Angel (this is a first for us)
20th - Sci Fi Dine-In

While we are at Disney we plan to celebrate the DD's Birthdays at a few of the meals and our 10 year Anniversary.

Have fun! I love Cinderella's, probably because it is IN the castle!

Thank you! I've heard a lot of good things about this one. We did the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall the last two years and really didn't like the food but our girls loved seeing the Princesses....so i'm hoping the love Cinderella's too.

So we are at the 100 day mark till we check in to our hotel. I can't wait....so in the mean time i'll continue to read everyone else's trip reports and dream about being in Disney.

We are still debating if we are going to do the MNSSHP which we've done the past 2 years which if i have my way we will defiantly do again. I can't pass up meeting my favorite guy DOPEY!!!!!! If we do go we will do the party on the 17th because i'm sure we will be worn out on the 13th. We are driving to Orlando and plan to start the trip on the 12th and drive all night till we arrive in FL on the 13th. We will rest for a little then more than likely either start our Vacation at Epcot or Hollywood Studios (seems to be tradition to start here). I also plan on making rope drop for Magic Kingdom this time, i couldn't seem to get everyone up and out to the park early enough last year.

I've started gather things here and there of things we'll need. And i'm super excited i found 2 Alice in Wonderland outfits at the Disney outlet for my 2 older girls and i already had Alice for the little one, plus their outfits from last year still fit so they can dress up at least 2 time while we are there.

Be wary of the quality of food at Sci-Fi Dine in. For the experience itself, its really cool and very retro but the food for the most part is lacking. For the high prices you are already paying there are many other great options like the ABC commissary or Pizza Planet

Yeah! Same week as our vacation! We are staying at Riverside. Your girls will just love Cinderella's royal table. That's one place my daughter never passes up. I have to say I enjoy being in the castle too! We are trying la hacienda too for the first time. I can't believe how fast it's approaching!

We ate here last year and really liked it so I hope it's good again this year.

So i'm a little bummed I see Jungle Cruise will be down for refurb while we are there. I really like the ride and we didn't get to ride it but once last time we were at the parks. I know the littlest one would have liked it for the animals but what can you do.

I'm hoping we'll get to do some things this time we haven't tried. I'm probably the only person who has never seen the Lion King show in AK, but i'm not a huge fan of the movie. But i'm willing to give it a try who know I might really love the show.

Yeah I was bummed over the jungle cruise too. We saw the lion king and it's nice. Years ago correct me if I'm wrong, the lion king use to be in magic kingdom. I believe where mickeys philharmonic is. That show was more based on the broadway show. What a great show. I can't seem to get into this one. I can't wait to see nemo at ak. We missed it last year.

So we have 90 days till we will be at the most happiest place on earth. DH found a lot of 25 pins on ebay for really cheap, and we got them for the girls to do some pin trading. They started it last year but I really wasn't happy about them buying $13 pins and then trading for really small pins that i'm pretty sure were a lot cheaper. My only fear is the pins aren't real and they won't be able to trade with the CM's. Any one know how you can tell if they are authentic?

I purchased a lot off of ebay a few years ago also to get my kids started on trading pins and the ones we received looked so nice I wouldn't have been able to tell if they were fake, my kids even kept some of the ones from that lot. Totally understand about the "little pins" for some reason 2 of my kids really wanted to collect all the mini characters (not Mini Mouse :)) I would cringe inside every time they traded but i figure it's what they like at the time then I should let them pick what they want. There were a few pins that I told them were off limits to trade, those where pins that we purchased at the parks to represent a special memory we had.

Have so much fun!! To me the planning and excitement of the upcoming trip is almost as much fun as the trip itself. Almost ;)

So my DH decided he wanted to make a change to our dining reservations. We are no longer going to La Hacienda de San Angel, we decided to do the QS in Mexico for lunch one day since we know we like the food there. We are now going to try Rose & Crown for dinner on the 19th.

No, you're not the only one. Our first trip, the hubby didn't want to see it. Our second trip, we didn't get over in that direction to see it. Sorry about JC being down. :( Bummer.

There are threads on another board and websites about fake pins and sellers. You can do an online search for "disney fake pins" and come up with alot of hits. Like Zip, we bought some off ebay (before I knew as much about scrappers), and the boys had SO much fun trading them with CMs. There was never any kind of pushback with the CMs regarding whether the pins were authentic. The boys decided which ones they wanted to keep and which they wanted to trade. I taught them trading etiquette but that went out the window half the time. They were just too excited. I've wondered what Disney really does about the fake pins, although it doesn't seem like much.

Have a Magical trip!

Down to 34 days and I can't wait! Ordered my photopass+ and we got our package in the mail yesterday. Guess tomorrow i'll start packing the few items I know we won't need right now and know we will want at the parks. If I could I would probably pack all our clothes too.
