A Few Questions

My family, in a group of 8, will be converging on WDW May 21-27. I had a few questions, probably the first of many, that I know you all can help me with.

1) How do the crowds of Evening Extra Magic Hour compare to the crowds of E-ride Night? Are the EMH really worth the time to go to?

2) How many days in advance do I need to make reservations for the Keys to the Kingdom Tour and the Segway tour at Epcot? Is it already too late?

3) How many days in advance should I make PS's for sit-down restaurants such as Rainforest Cafe and 50's Prime Time or Sci-Fi Dine In? Can I make them when I walk into the park or should I call ahead of time.

Thanks!

01) Evening magic hours are definately worth it and are much better than e-ride nights. More rides are open. I didn't find the crowds to be insane when I went in January.

02) I don't think it's too late.

03) You can make PS's 90 days out. I don't think you will have a problem getting a PS at the Rainforest or the Prime Time if you call the day of or a few days ahead of time. We've gotten PS's for Chef Mickey's breakfast by calling the night before.

I actually like EMH more than e-ride night so far - and when I first heard about the changes to EMH, I didn't think I would. When I went in March, I felt that EMH crowds were definitely less than the e-ride crowds I had experienced in the past. Also, more rides are open during EMH. :sohappy:

can't wait to experience the emh's. We are going in early May. My guess is that there will probably be more guests in the parks than were in the parks for Eride nights, BUT they will be dispersed among more rides. We are really looking forward to the rides in Fantasyland w/ the kids w/o huge lines.

1) Unfotunately I have not had the chance to go since they changed from E-Ride nights so I would go by the other responses from those who have been since it's changed. Sounds like you should definatley go!

2) Make those Tour reservations now especially if all 8 are going! The longer you wait the more likely that they will be full.

3) You can make Priority Seatings starting from 90 days out so I would be calling to make those reservations now. Again if all 8 are going to be dining together it's best to make those PS now.

Have a magical time!

1. YES! It's 3 hours more at the parks...FREE!!!
2. Call NOW so you're not disappointed!!! They fill up fast!
3. 90 days....which means NOW!!!

If my replies sound URGENT, that's becasue they are! HAHA!

Making reservations 90 days before your trip assures you a better chance of getting what you want, because everyone else going when you are is making them now! Esepcially with a group of 8 - best to not take chances!

HAVE FUN!
