A Few Questions

Hello there.

[Sorry for the lengthy question]

I have quite a few questions about when we are planned to go to WDW in September 2010 and any answers would be appreciated.

1. We really want to go to the Contemporary Resort as this will probably be the last family trip before I go to college and do my Gap Year to DLRP but we were on the website to book the Contemporary and have been looking for the past couple of days but (plan on changing the hotel) when we look to see a price on the Contemporary we can only see it for May 2010 and November 2010, does anyone have any advice on this on how to go about it as we cant book via anyone else as we have already booked by the travel company that is on the WDW website. As we really want to stay here. (as expensive as it is, hoping it will not be thousands extra)

2. I know that there is a love bug issue in FL and I know that they are harmless but my Mother isn't exactly the greatest fans of bugs haha (especially now after seeing the pictures of the swarms of them from September 2006.) Do you think we should move the holiday or just keep it as it is?

Thanks for reading and any answers. :)

If you phone you should be able to book Contemporary for September 2010. The rates/packages won't come out until early August this year, but they'll book up to 499 days in advance for room-only.

Booking so far in advance also gives you the opportunity to pay it out over time so it doesn't hit you that hard.

As for the bugs, I don't think yiou can ever predict how bad it may be from one season to the next. Wear repellent if you are overly concerned. Having been to Florida many many times I hve never had any major problems with bugs, and I hate them too.

I think it sounds like a lovely trip!

You can always book as early as you possibly can and begin paying on your trip. As the time draws nearer you can switch to a package that may be offered for your time without much fuss at all. We did that this year -- booked in Jan. for 2 weeks in September...then when Free Dining came out we switched over with no problem. Just make sure you explain to your booking agent if you think you'll eventually want a package ... there is something they can do that makes switching easier.

Love bugs...I've been in September for many years now. They just aren't that bad. They really won't hurt you at all. They are, at worst, just annoying. However, they've never been so annoying as to bother my trip.

Have fun!

I was there for the love bug fest in 2006. I really only remember them being a problem around the doors to our condo. I don't remember having to fight thme off of me, that would really gross me out. Don't let the bugs keep you away!
