A few notes--some official, some more speculative. Disney's official statement regarding Space Mountain is currently that it will have its grand opening in September of this year. That being said, soft openings are currently scheduled to begin in July (as we expected), but a warning for those of you arriving in July--soft openings will likely mirror Buzz's in format, so especially in July, I would expect them to be only during early entry, to give people a special incentive to book their vacation through the Walt Disney Travel, Co. So, for anyone who is going before September, make sure to book a package that includes Early Entry to ensure your spot on the new Space Mountain's pioneer crew.
