A Few Last Questions

I'm leaving Sunday July 4th for 7 days at WDW. I haven't been in over a year, so I have a few questions. I greatly appreciate any advice and opinions:

1) How did you like Mickey's Philharmagic? How would you compare it to the other 3D shows?

2) How did you like Mission: Space? Did it make you sick and can you feel the spinning?

3) How is Wishes? Is it really a good show? Where is the best place to watch it from?

4) If you have stayed at Saratoga Springs, how did you like your room and the other hotel areas?

5)Which days would be best to visit certain parks on the week I'll be there?

6) What attractions will be closed for rehab besides IASW, HISTK playground, and Stitch?

7) Anything else new in the last year that would be interesting?

Also, anyone who will be there the same time as me, look for me. I will be wearing a red, white, and blue tag that says WDWMAGIC.COM MagicalMonorail.

Mickeys Philharmagic is a good show and definitly worth taking the time to watch. It is definitly one of the better shows in MK.

As for Mission:Space, well that all depends on if you like rides that spin. Personally I can't stand them and they always get me sick, but with M:S it really didn't feel like you were spinning, the visuals help with that to make you feel what they want you to. As far as getting sick, I got a little sick and had to sit down for a few minutes, but that passed quickly. I got more sick on Cyber Space Mountain at DisneyQuest. :hurl:

Wishes is by far one of the best fireworkshows i have seen at MK. It is the most beautiful sight I have seen. This is something you will have to experience.

Those are the only things I can comment on. I know they aren't the best answers but I thought I would give my opinion.

1) How did you like Mickey's Philharmagic? How would you compare it to the other 3D shows?

It’s fun, most people lap it up. Not as funny as the Muppets or Bugs Life, but well worth a visit.

2) How did you like Mission: Space? Did it make you sick and can you feel the spinning?

Great fun, and you do not feel like you are spinning. You feel lots of other things, but as long as you PAY ATTENTION TO THE INSTRUCTIONS you won’t feel like you are spinning.

3) How is Wishes? Is it really a good show?

I liked Wishes, but was not keen on the huge crowd.

5)Which days would be best to visit certain parks on the week I'll be there?
6) What attractions will be closed for rehab besides IASW, HISTK playground, and Stitch?
7) Anything else new in the last year that would be interesting?

For the last three head to All Ears Net for planning information. (That's were a lot of us get up to the minute info).

Have a great time

1) How did you like Mickey's Philharmagic? How would you compare it to the other 3D shows?
I didn't think it was the super-dee-dooper show everyone told me about, but I did think it was the best one on property. I think my expectations were set too high before going. So don't expect anything and you'll absolutely love it. And, it was good enough that it'll be on my list of things to do when I go next time (maybe it was also because my son was 3 and kept smacking me with his 3-d glasses).

2) How did you like Mission: Space? Did it make you sick and can you feel the spinning?
Yes and no. I read on here before you went to always focus on the screen in front of you. So, the first time I rode it I did just that and had a great time. The 2nd time I rode it was after a very tasty Bass Ale and feeling a bit mischievous I decided to prove everyone wrong and turn my head to the right. After about the 2nd time the entire room flipped over I decided to look straight at my screen again and everything was normal.

3) How is Wishes? Is it really a good show?
Wishes was/is incredible! Definately find a great spot in full view of the castle, you and the kids will love it.

4) If you have stayed at Saratoga Springs, how did you like your room and the other hotel areas?
Umm...sorry, never stayed at SS. We always stay at FW. The little one's love the camping experience and the nightly sing-a-long with chip/dale.

5)Which days would be best to visit certain parks on the week I'll be there?
When we stay on property we go to the parks that have early-entry days until they get crowded. Then we take a break (it's usually near lunch) and go to a different park (except AK since it has short hours daily).

6) What attractions will be closed for rehab besides IASW, HISTK playground, and Stitch?
There are lists on various websites that list closed attractions during your stay. Try www.allears.net and disney's website ( quickly reached at www.disneyworld.com )

7) Anything else new in the last year that would be interesting?
Hmm...there are lot's of new *walls* covering the attractions you list under renovation. ;) Oh, I did hear there was a mild Nemo update at Living Seas, but that was after our last trip.

8) Also, anyone who will be there the same time as me, look for me. I will be wearing a red, white, and blue tag that says WDWMAGIC.COM MagicalMonorail.
What I wouldn't give to be going so I could run into you...or just be there period. :)

HAVE FUN!

I have another question to add to my post. What is the best place to go for dessert at WDW? It doesn't matter if it's in a resort or park. I heard Beaches and Cream is good. Any other suggestions?

1) How did you like Mickey's Philharmagic? How would you compare it to the other 3D shows?

I think it is the best 3D show...it was the only one we saw more than once during our recent visit!

2) How did you like Mission: Space? Did it make you sick and can you feel the spinning?

This is a tough one. Usually rides don't bother me, but I did feel queasy for about an hour after M:S. But we solved that by heading to the Coke testing place and I had some of the stuff closest to Sprite and that helped. I'm glad I didn't skip it, but I was SO glad when it was over. No one else in the family felt sick though, just me.

3) How is Wishes? Is it really a good show? Where is the best place to watch it from?

Wishes was wonderful, but don't get too close to the castle. Further down on Main Street would be better. We kept hearing to watch it with the castle in view, which I definately agree with, but if you are too close, the fireworks are too low behind the castle to see them.

4) If you have stayed at Saratoga Springs, how did you like your room and the other hotel areas?sorry, stayed at All Star Movies

5)Which days would be best to visit certain parks on the week I'll be there?
I have heard to avoid MK on Mon/Tues/Wed, but we were there on a Wed and it wasn't as bad as I thought. We managed to ride or see 21 attractions in one regular day. Except we saw none of the mountains though, which would make a difference.

6) What attractions will be closed for rehab besides IASW, HISTK playground, and Stitch?go to DisneyWorld.com and click on the calender. There you can get a breakdown of each park, each day for hours, parade times etc, and closed attractions. It seemed to be pretty accurate.

7) Anything else new in the last year that would be interesting?

Not new in the last year, but make a point of staying for the "kiss goodnight". When everyone rushes out of MK after it closes, just stick around and wait. There is a little "show" of lights and music and no one will rush you out, so get an ice cream and sit by the castle and wait for it. It is usually about 30min to an hour after park closing.

hope that helps!
