Hey all I just got back from my 8 day trip to the World. I stayed at Fort Wilderness (not my choice, im more of a hotel person but it was all good) I'm not gonna go through a whole trip report cuz I cant remember all of it :hammer: but there are a few impt things i wanna mention. first of all, I rode Primeval Whirl! It was a lot of fun, but they didnt have all the bugs worked out yet. We were in line for about 15 min then they kicked everyone out of line because it broke so we came back about 3 hours later and it opened for 2 min then the skies opened up so it closed. about 15 min later we got on when the sun came out, and as soon as we got off it started raining again so we're lucky. but we finally got on and it was a lot of fun, but the height requirement is 48 (the only other attraction with that height requirement is rockn roller coaster i think). but neways then on thursday we did the E-Ride Night and it was soooo much fun. we rode every ride that was open at least 3 times for each one, and we walked right on all of them. also, on.....Tuesday i think, monorail purple overheated i think and when it got in the station they had to open the doors manually and then they didnt let anyone on, it sat there for about 5 min then creeped out of the station at about 1 mph and stopped right outside, the drivers door opened and i could see heatwaves coming off the top of it, maybe the monorail pilot on this board could tell me what was wrong with it? thanx in advance. well thats all i remember, sorry its so long. :)

The resister banks generate approx 800 degree temps... and sometimes also generate steam... This is perfectly normal for a train.

They opened the doors manually? Hrm... that's odd. I have no clue what that was about. However, when the train pulled halfway out of the station and then the cab door opened, maintenance was doing a maintenance check. Proceedure for that would be for the driver to put the train in stop and open his or her door, that signals maintenance that the train won't move. They will then open up the 'skirts' of the train to check inside and fix whatever problem it was.

Alright thanx, and when they opened the doors manually, there were cast members inside and they had to basically slam themselves into the doors to get them open.

I was on monorial gold during President's week. I was coming home from Epcot after Illuminations. I got on at the TTC (going to the Contemporary). It was rainy and cold that night. As we started to go, the monorial went very slowly out of the station, and then sort of jerked back and forth on the track a little (its hard to describe). Any way, it edged along to the Poly, where after letting passengers off and on, they restarted the computer system (turned off the power for about a minute). Then we were off, and the monorail jerked along the track again. It finally made it to the GF, where we were all instructed to get off and wait. The monorail was toed off the track and a new one later came to pick us up. I'll tell you, that monorial was packed going back to the Contemporary. Anyway, maybe Fantasia Boi can tell me what's up with that, and if it had anything to do with the rain. (I know this is a ridiculous thought, but it felt like it was slipping along the track.)

Sounds like a Propulsion Unit Malfunction... one of the traction motors was having problems. Usually a Key Off/Key On will fix the problem, but sometimes it doesnt. 99% of the time they don't have to tow the train for that, so it must have been pretty bad if they had to bring out the Work Tractor...

One time I was sitting up in the cockpit of monorail lime with my friends. The train left Epcot and was nearing the TTC when it slowed down, jerked back, and stopped. The driver started pushing a few different buttons on the controll panel and finally called central. He tried a few different things and finally gave up. So about 20 minutes later a work tractor came to the from of the monorail and attached these bars to the front to tow us back to the TTC. (I got to tell you the work tractor really gives you a bumpy ride) So we all got off at the TTC than the work tractor pulled it off somewhere. I'm guessing to be fixed. In case you havent seen the work tractor before here is a picture someone on another post put up.

Yes I did see it, twice, and the inferno barge was back, and it seemed like there was more fire than ever before.
