Like at Disneyland. How would you do in the marquee events of the Theme Park Olympics?

Turnstile Targeting: Which of the dozen of so crowded turnstile lanes will get you into the park the quickest? To a rookie, this looks no more challenging than pushing a button on a slot machine. But it’s not always random. Experienced visitors know to look for confused families clutching sheets of print-at-home tickets and to queue behind a bunch of annual pass-holders instead. Especially avoid any line where you hear people saying “Yeah, I got a great deal on these tickets on eBay.”<<

Hahaha, cute article. He stopped a little short of making it great, though. I do love the "Turnstile Targeting" bit.

I'm of Scandinavian ancestry, a lifelong skier, and used to live for the Winter Olympics. For whatever reason, I could care less about them this year. I've watched a few minutes of downhill skiing to cheer on the Norwegians, and that's it. I didn't even watch the Opening Ceremonies. Funny how things change and stuff that was once a big event now just floats by and no one really cares.

At least USA won gold in Men's Curling for the first time ever. That is important stuff.

There was a fairly scathing editorial about the state of the USA in the globe and mail (a Canadian based paper), in regards to the Winter Olympics. That might be driving some of the indifference. I won’t link to it as I don’t think it would go over well.

That said, it remains quite popular this year up here. But the time zone is fairly wretched for North American prime time.

I would be interested in reading it.

The Olympics came at difficult time for American's. Politics have taken over. People were taking joy and trolling Lindsey's Vonn over her disappointing result. Usually the Olympics brought the country together no matter what. Not this year.
