They sure are working at record speed! I wish they would handle the construction in the areas around my house, maybe the work would get done sometime in the next decade.

As has been brought up in other threads, this part of construction moves deceptively fast. Once foundations are in steel framework goes up very fast so you see very quick dramatic changes. As they get into more interior work and exterior details the apparent speed will slow down quite a bit.

Oh so true. There are going to be a LOT of disappointed people once they enclose the buildings and finish the exterior theming. All progress will appear to have come to a grinding hault...for many, many months.

I notice the translucent blue scrim along the east exterior wall of LM. Is that to attempt to hide it from a specific point of view? Can you see that elevation from the train, or ToonTown?

I think it's more that there's an active backstage access road between the LM building and the tents. It's the one that comes out near Pete's Garage.

As for the quick construction, our last few additions onto our warehouse used similar pre-fabricated wall sections like it seems they used here. All of the walls were up in a matter of days, but it still took more than a year before it was ready for occupancy between all of the utility work and then the installation of all of the storage racks. I'd say it's about similar in scope to this attraction.

And can I just say that the two guys standing on the roof *really* give you a great idea of the massive size of the showbuilding...

I'm also hoping that the Imagineers took this particular angle (from the Contemporary and BLT) into account when designing the show building... I wouldn't want to see another "ancient mountain-side village" pop up ala Everest... :lookaroun

Yes and I hope others noticed just how massive the show building is and it will finally put to rest the rumor that WDW is getting a scaled down version.

Also, the artwork seems to indicate they are aware the need to cover the areas of the building seen above with show elements. If not, I am sure the pictures above got their attention. If the building is that visible from there I would think it is even moreso from the BLT.

I think it will be like a smaller version of Carsland. The rockwork and external show elements will be worth watching and will probably happen at the same time the internal work is done. I'd just add that the Carsland rockwork makes Everest look average. It is going to stun folks when they see it in person.
