A Couple Questions

I just had a couple questions about some things on the Disney Parks website.

The first question is when do they begin showing availabilty online for resorts in 2018.

Secondly, I know Disney has done a poor job updating hours at the parks but in September there are multiple days where the Magic Kingdom is slated to close at 7 with no showing of Happily Ever After. I have never visited during this time of the year is this normal for September or have things not been updated.

Disney's site is being slow so I only checked a couple dates. Most likely you are seeing it close at 7 for MNSSHP. It starts in August (yes August) this year and is scheduled regularly through Nov. 1.

The 7pm closing days are for the Halloween Party.

Not sure when online availability will show for 2018 but you can phone and book now.

2016 Walt Disney World vacation packages were released June 22, 2015.
2017 Walt Disney World vacation packages were released June 21, 2016.

If they follow this trend, they'll be up by the end of next month.

Halloween parties always start early Sept (this year they have 2 parties in Aug too last week of August) so that is why you will have 7:00pm closures in Sept that you are seeing.
2018 you can book a room only now by calling but packages are not out for 2018 yet but should be out by the end of June for all of 2018.
