A Bug's Life: Hopper's Eye!

Attention all bugs:

My friends and I love Disney/Pixar's A Bug's Life. We watch it alot and quote it all the time. We are curious as to what is up with Hopper's right eye. Some of us have always thought it was a cataract (the film over his eye) for some sick dramatic effect. Everytime we watch it we laugh about it because we are not positvely sure. Anyone know for sure??

Comments on this matter would be greatly appreciated!!

I love this movie too! I went to see it 12 times in the theatre, with only one dollar show (and my best friend went 28 times!!!)

MKCustodial is right....listen close the next time you watch it to the story Molt tries to tell when the grasshoppers first come down into the anthill. The bird that Hopper barely escaped from in that story is the one who scarred his eye. That's the reason they make the bird, and the reason Hopper gets so freaked out when Slim rubs the berry in his eye and runs up to Hopper in the climax.
