A better way to get there?

We will be staying off property in the Hampton Lakes area. We will be going in peak time in June. Someone once told me there were back roads that would get you to Disney Parks that avoid the traffic and Disney toll roads.. Is there back roads that are faster during peak traffic? Also, if we do take the main route, what is the toll charge?

Disney doesn't have any toll roads? The only place you pay on Disney property is if you park your car in one of the park parking lots. Parking fees are 17$ a day. Once you pay at one park you can use the same receipt to park at any of the othe parks on the same day, just keep your stub.
Florida does have some toll roads in the Orlando area but there is no requirement to use them.

Doing a quick Google Map search, what you are referring to is that it looks like you can drive east on I-4 and pick up SR 429 north to Western Way. Take the Western Way exit into WDW.

Not sure if that stretch of 429 is toll. It is toll between the Western Way exit and the FL Turnpike.

But if you're on I-4 anyway you could stay on it directly to World Drive then drive that north directly into WDW.

Looking up Hapton Lakes on Google Maps, realized my friend lives in that area of Davenport. Your fastest route is to drive north on US-27 and then east on US-192. The "back road" you're referring to is Sherberth Road. It doesn't cut off all of the traffic and congestion (and ticky-tacky tourist-trap visuals) areas, but the sooner you get off of 192 the better.

If traffic is really bad, you can turn left sooner onto Black Lake Road which parallels 192 and then ends at Sherberth Road.

Sherberth will bring you onto property just by the entrance driveway to Animal Kingdom Lodge. At that traffic light it'll be a left turn to the Lodge or a right turn to everywhere else. From there you just follow the signs.

If you have a GPS that includes traffic info (whether it's on your phone like the Waze app or a stand-alone unit), it might be your best bet for getting around the fastest.
