Having not been around a place like this when rooms are undergoing refurb (to my recollection, but it’s been a long time since I stayed at an All Star), do they close an entire building at once? One floor at a time? Genuinely curious.

For the recent POFQ and POR room refurbishment, an entire building was closed. I imagine this would be true for the All Stars, since Disney would not want guests in an active construction zone (which would include elevators).

Our first visit to Disney 21 ish years ago we stayed at Movies. Our son was about 4. We were near the Mighty Ducks pool and we had an awesome time that kicked off a whole series of WDW visits as our son grew up. Great memories!

Agree with Tuvalu on the refurb - we were at FQ a couple of times this past year - they were definitely going building by building. Virtually no impact for anyone staying there.

They better lose and get rid of the Rudish Mickey designs on the bedroom elements (like the Mickey, Minnie, and Donald art piece and the artwork of the Nephews on the Murphy bed) and revert them to the classic, corporate style that guests known for years, because they need to stop milking those TVA/Mercury designs to death

Pretty sure Disney has learned that nobody actually wants those designs.

we stayed at movies a few years ago & found the changes were a big improvement from how the rooms used to look. only complaint was the room felt tighter. i’m curious how this new update will look.
