A 6-month refurb? They’re going to ruin this nice little spot, aren’t they?

I'm hopeful it means Saratoga Springs will finally have a real bar. I tend to visit the bars around Walt Disney World more than the average person, and that one is kind of a joke.
Once upon a time, when the seating was upholstered sofas and the pool table was unknown to the rest of the world, it was a very civilized place to have a few drinks before taking the boat to Disney Springs. The best thing was that it didn't push sugar-loaded, cranberry-infused, maple-bacon-loaded cocktails. Just good wines, decent spirits, and OK non-alcoholic drinks for those too young to imbibe booze.

This. 👆

A great place to grab a pour of Disney’s Kn*b Creek barrel pick and enjoy it on the patio. (Edited to get the censored word back because it doesn’t make sense without it 🤣)

Was planning to go in June finally, looks like it will be open but with a modified (meaning neutered down menu) and if a construction zone I guess not the best choice or worth it.

The menu looked pretty good to me - I actually didn’t even know this place existed. I thought it was just a bar where golfers hung out.

Was your experience that the food itself was low quality? Poor preparation?
I agree menu looked good as of recent, but had yet to actually go, was hoping to in June but not if its a cut down menu. If they do that they should just close, thats TDO nickel diming. I know its not the most exciting place but always looked enjoyable. Maybe that poster has more opinion.

Not low quality at all...more like mediocre quality, but I would like to see this restaurant be more competitive with restaurants across the water at Disney Springs.

What from Disney Springs would you want this to compete with? Admittedly, we have not dined at all of the TS locations at Springs over the years, but those we have eaten at have been average. Not bad by any means, just nothing which knocked our socks off. My wife said her steak at STK was, direct quote - “The worst steak I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant” (I wasn’t there for that one).

Everytime I walk up to a TS at Springs I ask myself “will this be better than Polite Pig?” And then I turn around and go there.
Never a bad choice. 😃 I just wish their bourbons weren't so over-priced. Maybe prices will start coming down now that the hipsters and "collectors" are moving on to other things.
