Can you give me an example of a forecast Johnston gave that turned out to be incorrect?


Forecasts are just that, forecasts.

Who is to say what the metrics are? Does it only consider domestic parks? Or are international parks considered? Does the cruise line factor in heavily into his assessment?

We can only go by what our eyes tell us, because we have no way of ever independently verifying any of the claims that he is making, and over the past two years, at least in Florida, his assessment doesn’t carry water.

If demand was outpacing supply why have they been ripping and replacing so many attractions and offering so many discounts? Is their management and forecasting really that bad? 🤔

He wouldn’t possibly say that to make things seem better than they really are right? 👀

Here’s a better one, if demand was outpacing supply why are they offering significant discounts and promotions? Why are they pulling every lever necessary to increase demand?

That’s not the way how supplying demand works, that’s not how they did it in the late 2010s when they’re actually was significant demand that was outpacing supply.

This is just pure corporate BS given to an audience that doesn’t know any better and will just take it at face value.
