Good options for alcohol that doesn't taste like alcohol?

I hate the taste of every alcohol I've tried, but I'm in Disney Springs and really want to drink.

I've already tried "the least alcoholic tasting alcoholic drink you've got" at Jock Lindsay's and it tasted strongly like alcohol.

Where should I go for something that tastes like a smoothie/icee but needs ID? Edit: It doesn't need to literally be like specifically smoothie, just not tasting like alcohol.

Maybe not what you mean, but all of the zero-proof cocktails (mocktails) require ID. I don't know they taste like a smoothie though.

GF Cafe has this one, called a "Pink Spritizer" made with Lyre’s Pink London Spirit, Grapefruit Soda, Pomegranate Green Tea, Lime and Mint.

Per WDW, zero-proof is not the same as non-alcoholic.

I don't have a long list for DS, but try Summer House on the Lake.

Another possible option is Cityworks. I'm not sure what they offer for zero-proof, but under beer options I see they have 'fruited and sours.' Consider trying one of the options under the heading 'fruited and sours," for something that is very fruity tasting.

You could perhaps ask for something like a daiquiri with no alcohol, or half-alcohol?

Thanks for the suggestions; in hindsight, I wasn't very clear I'm looking for not tasting like alcohol, but is alcohol. I've had repeated issues with going to bars in Disney and asking for something that doesn't taste like alcohol, then what they serve me tastes like alcohol. So I wanted to see if anyone had experience with specific drinks.

I had some decent luck with T-Rex Cafe's Cave Man Punch.

That was I understood from your post, that's why I started w the qualifier.

Still, I second the idea of a fruit beer- also called lambic. Belgian lambic doesn't taste 'fruity' in the sense that wine is often described as 'fruity', but actually tastes like raspberry fruit juice. Only the cherry lambic tends to taste less sweet. It is hard to find though, and not many people know about it. In the USA, sometimes you can find wheat beers with fruit, that taste a bit like lambic.

On the other hand, lambic doesn't taste like a smoothie. For that, I'd go more towards something made with frozen daiquiri mix.

Another drink that tastes less alcoholic is a mojito, esp if you asked for a light pour and LOTS of lime juice.

Still one more potential option- is something called a lemon drop (shot). It IS straight up a shot of vodka+ fresh lemon juice, rimmed with sugar and a lemon wedge. (Sometimes a bit of simple syrup is added) It tastes like alcohol, but only for an instant because you immediately 'chase' the vodka with sugar and the lemon wedge. It is consumed much the way people drink tequila- only instead of tequila/lime/salt, you kill the taste of the vodka using sugar and lemon. First lick sugar off your hand/rim of the glass, quickly swallow the entire shot, then immediately suck the lemon. Mostly, you just taste sugar and lemon, especially if the bartender properly chills the vodka, and it is good quality vodka.

I’m not an alcoholie tasting drinker, either. Over in China at The Joy of Tea - Tipsy Ducks in Love or Kung Fu Punch seem to fit the bill IMO. At Trader Sam’s, the Krakatoa Punch. The Nautilus is good, but maybe borderline. Also borderline would be the Blackberry Moonshine Sour at Regal Eagle. But, all of those, I’d get again.

I think Frontera Cocina has the famous avocado margaritas. To me those are very smoothie-esque.

Honestly though, just tell your server what you’re looking for at any restaurant. They are typically versed in that kind of thing and if they’re not they can ask the bartender. I like ridiculously fru-fru, sweet drinks on vacation and I’ll usually tell them just that and see what they recommend.

I've had mixed success with that; between Trader Sam's, Jock Lindsay's and the Banana Cabana (Caribbean Beach), it only worked out at Trader Sam's with whichever drink is just an alcoholic dole whip. In hindsight I should've taken notes on what I got and started asking for whatever they have that's most fruity and also not that.

I’ve been a bartender most my life and with any alcoholic drink it’s very hard to completely get rid of the taste the alcohol. My advice is let the bartender know what you like and that will point them in the right direction… if you like coffee an espresso martini might be what you’re looking for, you’ll still notice the alcohol but since the overall taste is something you enjoy you’ll notice it less, if you like juices something like a rum punch might work, you’ll still get some of the alcohol taste but it’ll be mostly masked by the OJ and Pineapple, if you like soda something like a 007 (orange vodka, orange juice, and 7 up) should taste similar to an orange Julius… you’re still going to taste a bit of the vodka but it’ll be mostly masked. Personally when I don’t want to taste the alcohol I get a Bloody Mary, you’re still going to taste it a bit but the spices mask much of it.

The best way to get rid of the taste of the alcohol is to simply get a larger drink with more mixer, if you’re doing an 8oz drink and 1.5oz of that is alcohol about 1/3 of the drink is booze (after accounting for ice), if you get a 16oz drink with only 1 shot it’s only going to be about 1/6th booze, much easier to mask the taste when there’s more mixer.

I regularly put drinks in larger cups for people who don’t like the taste of alcohol, an 8oz vodka OJ and a 16oz vodka OJ are technically the same drink but will taste very different simply because one has so much more OJ to mask the alcohol.

Another tip is to get a better quality alcohol, you don’t need top shelf liquors but typically a midrange vodka like kettle one or Tito’s will be less noticeable than the lower end vodkas. Should only add a dollar or 2 to the price but will make a big difference in the overall taste.

Not sure that’s going to completely get you to no taste of alcohol but it’ll get you closer and hopefully to something that you’ll at least enjoy.
