Just got back from a four day trip to WDW. Overall I would say that the trip was mediocre. I continue to be frustrated by rides that are constantly down or working in diminished capacity. Random examples:
1. Paid $20+ for the Rise of the Resistance Lightning Lane - BOTH pre-shows were skipped entirely presumably because they were down (Rey/BB-8/Poe Dameron room)(The Transport Ship) and we were just taken into the main Stormtrooper room via a backdoor. On the main ride the cannons were not moving and the last Kylo Ren animatronic was not working.
2. Zootopia - The attraction has exactly one animatronic and less than 2 months after opening it is not working and you are forced to understand what is going on from an offstage voice
3. Toy Story Mania - Breaks down constantly. Every time you get in the line there is a risk. This is made even more frustrating by a cast member script where they indicate that they expect it will be running "shortly" when really they have no idea.
4. Delayed Openings for Technical Reasons for both Frozen Ever After, Test Track AND Runaway Railway kinda frustrated our plans.
Honestly, these problems just seem par for the course now but the parks are still jammed to the gills so there is not much urgency to fix them.
Candidly, I go the parks a lot so this stuff should bother me less. I absolutely feel bad for the families who are making their one trip to WDW shelling out ridiculous amounts and have no recourse for a park that has constant ride shutdowns. Anyway, I cannot say that my trip was bad just mediocre.
