Shame. I know many who absolutely loved this store. I know their pain, as absolutely (not virtually) ALL my favorite retailers are either long gone or on life support. Thanks Walmart and Amazon!![]()

Are you sure it’s not every retailer on the planet overcharging without any thought as to how they’re driving themselves out of business? Thanks Walmart and Amazon!
I agree so many of their behaviors have been perplexing to put it kindly. Are you sure it’s not every retailer on the planet overcharging without any thought as to how they’re driving themselves out of business?

Chasing quarterlies than cannot go up constantly…I agree so many of their behaviors have been perplexing to put it kindly.

I feel this would be more of an outrage if your wife hadn't lost her receipt...I remember my wife once bought a dress from a Francescas(not DS location), the next day she decided she didn't want it but had lost her receipt. They essentially told her to bad. Wouldn't refund, exchange or anything. Said she was even dealing with the girl that sold her the dress and it was obviously their dress as they had unique offering and had a ton of them on the rack. Never did any business with them again.

There are a lot of "return" scams out there that prey on retailers that allow receipt-less returns. I think it's understandable to require a receipt, especially if the transaction happened "the next day" (!).Right. I get that it's frustrating, but if the retailer requires a receipt for returns and you lose the receipt, that's not really on the retailer?

Nope. But an exchange or something would have been helpful. But they lost a customer for life. So...here we are.Right. I get that it's frustrating, but if the retailer requires a receipt for returns and you lose the receipt, that's not really on the retailer?
