If A-E tickets existed today

I wanted to create this forum because so many (myself included) throw around "A ticket," "E-ticket" etc. ....quite loosely at times imo.

But even while the ticket system existed, Disney themselves frequently moved several attractions "up & down" between categories during that first era before General Admission....

This is the only "black and white" factual part.... a list of (still extant) MK attractions, c. 1975:
  • A TICKET: Main Street Vehicles (I combined all into one), Carousel
  • B TICKET: Dumbo, Mad Tea Party
  • C TICKET: Raceway, Peter Pan's Flight, Swiss Family Treehouse (this last attraction also appeared as a B-ticket),
  • D TICKET: WDW Railroad, Tiki Room
  • E TICKET: Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Country Bears (also appeared as a D-ticket), Haunted Mansion, Hall of Presidents, IASW, Space Mountain
*Of the 31 attractions on these ticket books, only 16 remain

BASED on THAT (& how now-defunct attractions were "ticketed"...and....not necessarily my opinions of the merits (or lack thereof) of individual attractions), this is how I would rate the rest of WDW's current attractions (which admittedly has gotten easier with the recent closures):

AK
  • A TICKET:
  • B TICKET: (any character M&G), petting zoo
  • C TICKET: Winged Encounters, Discovery Island Trails, "Zoogether"
  • D TICKET: Festival of Lion King, Nemo, Na'vi, Wildlife Express Train (including here the Conservation Station, Planet Watch, Animation)
  • E TICKET: Flight of Passage, Dinosaur, Everest, Kali, Kilimanjaro,
HS
  • A TICKET: Vacation Fun
  • B TICKET: (any character M&G), Frozen singalong, Alien Saucers, Walt Disney Presents,
  • C TICKET: Disney Jr., Villians,
  • D TICKET: B&B, Indiana Jones, Little Mermaid, Start Tours, Slinky, Midway
  • E TICKET: Fantasmic, Runaway Railway, Smugglers Run, RnRR, RoR, ToT,
EPCOT
  • A TICKET: B&B Singalong, Pixar Short Festival, ImageWorks, Mission Control, Project Tomorrow
  • B TICKET: (any character M&G), Awesome Planet,
  • C TICKET: Canada, Impressions, Gran Fiesta, Imagination w/ Figment, Journey of Water, China
  • D TICKET: Seas w/Nemo (et. al.), Living w/the Land, Remy
  • E TICKET: American Adventure, Frozen Ever After, Cosmic Rewind, Mission Space, Soarin', SSE, Test Track
MK (not already mentioned above)
  • A TICKET: Casey Jr.
  • B TICKET: (any character M&G), Astro Orbiter, Barnstormer, Belle, Carpets, Laugh Floor
  • C TICKET: WtP, Philharmagic, Mermaid,
  • D TICKET: CoP, Buzz, TTA
  • E TICKET: 7DMT, BTMRR, TBA, Tron
*NB as I haven't experienced any of the "new" offerings of the last decade😬, my assessment may be particularly "off"

LET THE DEBATE BEGIN

Feel free to copy & paste this to make your own "lists." If anyone wants to ask me of why I rated any particular attraction the way I did, I'll happily explain, "the method behind the madness" 😂

Shifted some stuff around. Maybe I'm married too much to the Lightning Lane tiers.

Yes
Different times, different models. AYCE vs per instance. Even the per instance model couldn't account for capacity limitations unless it floats on a demand based price.

Of course I realize all of that. I'm mainly tying to have some fun.

It's New Year's Eve.

Plus, as I mentioned earlier, even though most seem to say, "this ride is an A-ticket," "B-ticket," etc. all the time on virtually all news-related forums (& I have the overwhelming impression most weren't even alive under the A-E system), I was trying to somewhat quantify such claims.
