Trip Report Garfield digs deep

I want to try something different (I apologize if "it's been done")

I'm not knocking it...I love looking at the trip reports and seeing how happy everyone is...but it's pretty evident where the picture is taken and what's going on.

But I was wondering if people would like to share the deeper stories/meanings behind their favorite Disney photos (anywhere/anytime.....no memory "too old" or "too new").

Something more than just, "This is us on 20K in 1979."

...more like "This is us on 20K in 1989 right after Bobby tripped into the lagoon. He looks so embarrassed but we were so relieved the cast dove in and that's he's fine...that's why his clothes look a little oversized--they're brand-new--and compliments of Disney."

or...."This is us on 20K Labor Day Weekend 1994, no one suspecting that the ride would close, and forever, the very next day."

The possibilities are endless!

I'll "break the ice" (and may keep on "breaking more ice")

(if anyone is curious I'll explain my title choice lol)

I hope we get alot of responses!

This is from the Diamond Horseshoe...1985. They had a part in the show where they'd invite some "youngins" up on stage for a bit. I'm the one on the far right. I don't remember any other details other than doing it, and how extremely happy it made my parents.

They were so happy they had my younger brothers do the same 5 years later...even though I don't recall that still being a part of the show at that point.

There are some advantages to being the eldest.

Although I wish I remembered more of the show, the last several times I've been to MK my restaurant of choice was the Diamond Horseshoe. It always was a GREAT meal, and I enjoyed reminiscing about the past and marvelling at the amazingly intricate design details that remain to this day.

The capacity was never huge, which is why it was one of many testimonies of the TLC they used to lavish on guests without any discretion of how rich (or not) that they were.

I love how you all enjoyed the Review...I hope you have some interesting tales/photos to share (here or other Disney attractions/events/etc)....when I get time I'll drop some more examples...I'm hoping for deeper than "we did this" or "we went there"

This may require some digging. Although my pictures won't go back that far since we didn't start going to Disney until 2006. I'll give it a try after the holidays 😁
no experience will be considered "too recent" My best friend since kindergarten got international coverage (at least multiple major UK & US media) for something interesting that happened on a recent trip of his...
